欠場 meant absent so probably no Yamada Also Nakata Daisuke is back. Can't believe he was injured 10 years ago... time really flies XD But not seeing Tako Tencho and Aoki makes me sad

Yeah I only just realized that! Yeah I guess Yamada is on retirement break for now. I doubt he's gonna be leaving though... idk why but I keep seeing him returning for no good reason! But still. Rooting for him and the 4 all stars competing

But speaking of other Daisuke's they're opening with the SASUKE 27 ratings-puller himself, Naito Daisuke! This is a pretty good line-up as a matter of fact that should bring in some viewers. I just wish Okuyama had applied, seems it's curtains for him on SASUKE. Also, strange that Kouji declined to compete. Maybe he got (rightfully) fed up with the way the show had been treating him. So psyched they brought back fake Bruce Lee, if only they managed to get fake Superman too! That would have been full of win.

As for Superman.. the old one is not back but I think someone had the Superman shirt. We'll see if he wore it. I have to see that. GOD this month is going to drag. LOL

I wonder if the "unable to appear" people just missed the photo shoot, since we do know about Yamada, and I highly doubt that he wouldn't be aired. When did the photo shoot take place relative to running the first stage?
That said... man, we can get a current Ranger (#42, Yokohama Ryusei aka Hikari/ToQ #4 in Ressha Sentai ToQger), and a Rider from the previous series (#48, Nagase Tasuku aka Nitou Kousuke/Kamen Rider Beast in Kamen Rider Wizard), but we can't get the current starring Kamen Rider who kicks butt on Sports Danshi (Sano Gaku)? It's not like Kamen Rider Gaim doesn't have a movie coming out double billed with the ToQger movie. (sighs)
Also, I love how high Bunpei's number is.

Bunpei deserves it! It kinda reminds me of Yamada in SASUKE 17. Gonna retire after that so it was its way of saying farewell. I'm guessing the same goes here. (Clearly Nagano deserved 100 in 17 but if he did who knows what may have changed) Back on topic I doubt Yamada went missing to be fair.

Btw Ube thanks so much for the names (that's the hardest part, especially with new people).

As always, some of these are guesses at best. The more famous a person is, the easier it is to find their name. If you find something that is supposed to something else, let me know. BUT try to provide some documentation.

One major two-part question regarding #21-23: Why does Hibari have a gundan and what is Little J Chen?

J. チェン stands for Jackie Chan.

Aww, no Tako :-( I thought after seeing those pics of them all in his restaurant recently around taping time it was sign he had competed.

Re: No.'s 21-23, the Hibari Gundan 妃羽理軍団 21 and 23 are members of Tsubasa Project, a talent agency of sorts run by actress Tsubasa Akimoto that specializes in doing action (she used to appear on Kinniku Banzuke and Kane the Muscle apparently). Hibari teaches at Akimoto's school (along with former Muscle Musical member and SASUKE 20-22 participant Tomoyo Haga) and does performances with her group. Yasuko (22) works at the same show pub in Tokyo that Hibari works/worked at. www.tsubasa-kichi.net/teacher/index.html

Oh, and if you've been wondering what Toyohisa Iijima has been up to, he works as a performer in Roppongi. I'm pretty sure Hibari used to work there too. www.kaguwa.com/oiranza.htmlHe was also working for the troupe that the guy who helped put together the original Muscle Musical had but that seems kaput right now. If nothing else, the Muscle Musical has alumni in all sorts of shows around Japan. Oh and, no mention of Iijima is complete without a link to his geocities page (geocities Japan was not shut down like it's US counterpart). www.geocities.co.jp/Hollywood-Spotlight/5749/

I know there have been discussions about the whole retiring All-star things vs the weening people off them slowly. THIS is how it should be done. Staggering the All-stars between the new stars to force the viewership to watch them together then gradually eliminating them altogether when they retire of their own volition. From the past when analyzing Twitter comments, people usually would watch only when the All-stars were on and then shut the TV off. This time.. they are forced to see between them and get to know the new crew. I like this line up a lot.

I couldn't help but watch the all stars make their runs but if none make it past stage one (19, 22, 26 for examples), I couldn't care less for anyone else and just move on. Now I do have some favorites from the new stars but I still don't watch any further. Now I'm watching with a new respect for the new stars. I like this set up. Can't wait to see it unfold. We got 28 days!

BRUCE LEE GUY! YES!
(Now watch them skip his run -_- )
#90-100 is intense. Morimoto, I think I feel bad for him. Yuuji and Nagano both have their winning numbers.
