Does anyone think the salmon ladder could be replaced? In the sasuke 18 preview, it showed course testers missing the transition from the seventh rung to the stick slider. What someone did that and the rung hit their head. There could be injuries, especially if more people are beating the first stage.

Nope, they fixed that problem too in 21. With the stoppers on the end it won't just slide off the rails like to that tester who twisted. Physics would just have it go as far forward as it can go before it gets caught... While you wouldn't be injured, you'd be screwed trying to get the other side up onto the track... You know.. In a sadistic sort of way I want to see this happen!

oh, I thought the stoppers were just so you don't do an Okuyama.
Also for SL being dangerous, could the pipe, if it was caught between the sixth and seventh rung, could it slide off

Also for SL being dangerous, could the pipe, if it was caught between the sixth and seventh rung, could it slide off That was the main reason, but it also solved the problem you mentioned. Nope, the bar is so long that it doesn't slide off, even more with the stoppers. I mean it happened to Nagano in 18, Yamada in 19 fell between two rungs so that should also count for that, Brian and Levi in 21 and none of them slid off. And I think I might have figured out a sollution to the problem I mentioned in my last post, Turn around and quickly Pipe Slider back up the one side and then back into the notch then turn back around and get up on the Stick Slider. EDIT: If it doesn't come off at this angle, I don't know what will bring it down (Which is bigger than between the 6th and 7th notch BTW)

I understand now, I thought it was mostly sheer strenghth from the competitor that was keeping the bar in place.

No matter how tight your grip on the bar is, it doesn't matter if it's going down with you!

No, I meant they were pushing it up to the upward side to stop it from sliding down

That wouldn't stop it from falling, if it's at an angle where it's falling, it's falling whether you want it too or not.. Gravity's a b**** ain't it!?

ok, thinkn of it like this, u jump off a 10 ft platform into a pool, it may sting for like 2 seconds, nuttin bad, 20ft a few seconds and so on. so whats the difference? also, technicly all obstacles are dangerious, i mean u could jump 2 sextuple step and hyper extend ur knee, log grip ur arms could fall of from the drops. if u jump 2 far on the jumping bars, then u could hit ur neck, possibly break it, or stops u from breating.
Then the rope is cut from the tower, u could hit the tower walls, if ur a man u might not be able 2 make babys, or for both genders broken ribs, and whatnot
the facts are stuff happens, everything is dangerous in some ways, sh*t happens

It's just something about the salmon ladder that seems dangerous to me

isnt the bar left on the rungs usually...? Yup. Only once has it never been off the track when someone falls, And Okuyama held onto the bar.

I agree that all are dangerous.. more some than others but the one I had the most issues with was the one that was replaced already - Flying Chute.

I think the Salmon Ladder is one of the more dangerous obstacles, but it's so fun you can't really replace it.
I think it's going to be there for a loonnngggg time.
