I'll do some predictions:
Yamada: Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe, very similar to his SASUKE 29 failure. I could also see the Hedgehog giving him trouble if he isn't as agile as he was in 28.
Shiratori: Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe, 1st wall. This obstacle has bothered him in the past and I don't see a 46-year-old Bunpei finishing it.
Yamamoto: Iron Paddler, Stage 3. He should have cleared Stage 2 last time, and is probably the best bet to go the farthest among the All-Stars, barring a silly mistake.
Takeda: Swap Salmon Ladder, Stage 2. He hasn't dealt with the SSL before or even the DSL since 25.
Nagano: Crazy Cliffhanger, Stage 3. This is more of a "heart" pick than a "head" pick, but I don't see anything between the Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe and the Crazy Cliffhanger that could take Nagano out besides the 2nd stage time limit. If they keep it at 90 seconds he won't pass the Second Stage, but I think they'll modify the 2nd Stage to make it more fair.

Since we pretty much know Yamada's not competing, why are we still speculating about him?

Yamada DID compete. His run is being cut from the broadcast.

Not sure if this should go here, but TBS promo of Yamada "testing" stage 3: That was before SASUKE 29 I believe. He just wanted to do it for the lawls! XD But the chances of him doing this in competition? I highly doubt it...

they cut all star K.Yamada for morimoto turns or someone? tbs sucks!!! We don't know why they cut Yamada. They didn't do it to give other competitors more airtime, though. That's never been TBS's way. If anything, TBS has/had an annoying habit of digesting newer talent like Koji Hashimoto while giving All-Stars a 5 minute profile before they ran.

they cut all star K.Yamada for morimoto turns or someone? tbs sucks!!! There's a difference between being cut from the broadcast and having your presence erased... You think all 97 people on the list who were listed as present are going to be shown? That's not how things worked and never has been. Yamada ran but broke a promise with Inui which ended up being enough to be erased, we don't know what exactly it was but Inui must have had a good reason.

Meanwhile how is Morimoto taking the pressure of being #3000?
How do you think he'll do?

I think Morimoto is probably more honored by the number than intimidated by it. I think he'll do fine. No matter what number he has, he probably has the same amount of pressure because he was the last man standing. But with that, this thread is about ALL-STARS, which Morimoto is not.

you're right. Best refocus. Won't happen again. I give you my word. Oh and I still think Shingo is gonna surprise us in SASUKE 30.

How did he do on the 1st stage in USA vs Japan and ASEAN Open? Those could give us the answer on how he might do.

Too true! He has done so much more than the other all stars as of lately! That could prove to be his greatest asset for later.

I'm gonna be begging to the screen for Shingo not to fail in a stupid way. Then again, his silly fails amuse me. Alright Shingo, make a stupid mistake in the 3rd stage.

OR GO ALL THE WAY! YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT! Oh and yeah I'm really wanting HIM to get back to the final stage. His shoulder is gonna stay together if it's the last thing I do!

Assuming to the sasuke 29 course... Nagano-Backstream Shingo-Backstream Bunpei-BAckstream/swap salmon ladder Yamada-Long Jump/Hedgehog Takeda-double warped wall

I don't think the Backstream will take Nagano. He is a fisherman, after all. And I think that Takeda will get out of his slump. He'll beat the Warped Wall, given he goes that far.
