In case there was still any confusion between the NBC and Esquire episodes, it's officially been confirmed Before asking the source they emailed the contestants on things to remember if appearing in the media about your appearance and they gave some points to remember (simple stuff us SMF people already know, notable competitors this season (mostly olympians) and stuff like that. Yeah, but they called it something else... like the spinning disk or spinning table or something ridiculous. On a related note I'm not sure which one it is since it could be either but both "Spinning Wheel" and "Tilting Table" were among the names of those obstacles, either one sounds like it could be the Escargot

Tilting Table's the obstacle in Dallas that looks like the old balance bridge with the divider, if I remember correctly, so I'm going to go with "Spinning Wheel" is the renamed Escargot. "Cat Grab" I assume is the Denver obstacle with the two walls, I'd guess. nechney should be able to verify.

I'm putting this here because this video is an overall preview of the competition, and features clips from runs throughout the show. It's not dedicated to just one city, even though some clips are clearly from some more than others. This is a big speculative comment that may end up being right, so don't click on this if you don't want to read it. I'm really confident this confirms Kacy cleared the Warped Wall.

Quick question what has happened to Brian Orosco he has gone out early twice now this is a guy that made it to stage 3 in Japan. Has he just slipped some not sure but him going out on the escargo was a surprise and last year on the Cargo net.

I know about the no hands rule on it, I still think it's a terrible obstacle for TV though

To answer the question yes it drug out a few times It was cool when people strided through it. The slow 2 foot shuffle was epically boring to watch. Burned almost a whole minute everytime. And I think what happened to Brian is what happens to a lot of the parkour guys. Not enough hours in the day to train everything adequately.

Do they choose fast-forwards by dart board? Seriously, fast-forwarding Brian Orosco, Kelvin Antoine, and Travis Weinand, while showing the full run of newcomers that fall at the Steps...

At least they wrote names this season, which I was happy about.

At least they wrote names this season, which I was happy about. True. I complain a bit about the fast-forwarding choices, but I think this season is the best edited so far. It's hard to call early on, but they definitely seem to cut down a bit on the backstories for random contestants. I mean, Kim Lyons was an exception, but seeing as she's been on NBC before, I could understand that. Also, when/if Brent Steffensen feels "done" as an ANW contestant, he should become a commentator.

Yeah, despite the slack ladder, the editing flow felt better. Profiles weren't ginormous, and putting the names on most of the quick wipeout flashes was awesome! Dallas should be really smooth.
EDIT: Oh, yeah, totally forgot that they finally showed a bit of the daytime Baltimore runs. Nice that was acknowledged.

Brian had no problem on the Escargot in 26, and the Spinning Wheel looked pretty well built. Weird.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, totally forgot that they finally showed a bit of the daytime Baltimore runs. Nice that was acknowledged. Agreed entirely on both counts. They definitely did a great job editing the actual episode and I was very pleased with the pre-show, glad to see they finally acknowledged the day runs in Baltimore happened and actually showed them, I don't see why they had to cut those... Hell the evening runs were beautiful, just the sunset over the inner harbor gave a great orange look to the course that reminded me of Sasuke 25's second stage. Only complaint (besides the Slack Ladder and some notable names being FF'd but that's understandable, at least they were acknowledged) is how they cut out the best parts of that guy who took 3 minutes on the swing jump before giving up from having 0 momentum, the crowd, it would have been great to see them showing everyone just yelling "JUMP" to him to get it over with or trying to remind him of playgrounds, that was great.

Is Jesse La Flair going to show up this season?
A. Smith & Co., like always, bungled so many things on the Countdown show. Stage 3 getting called Stage 2, multiple times, is inexcusable.

Jessie La Flair did run and they did not even show his run. Jessie went out on the Bungie Bridge as well with a DQ.

Quick question guys. Would it be easier for everyone if a brand new results only (no discussion) thread that has all the official results updated weekly is created? I figured it would be cool to keep up with that in one updating chart if people just want to see those results week to week? Or just leave them written at the end of each discussion week? Either way if anyone has the full results please put them on the threads now. I'm curious who was shown and who passed on to the next stage. P.S. Noticed Drew tweeted a link that has the full 1 hour preview. Unsure if it's region locked for those outside the country reading. Let us know if it is btw. Also, having taken 1 hour to do a lot of the fluff pieces, did that actually help the pace of the actual show? Or are they still badly paced with too many odd lengthed cut-scenes?
