Spring drama season is from April to mid to late June with the Summer drama season starting in July. So probably late June, early July. Perhaps the week of June 29th to July 5th.

Btw there is a fairly strong rumor that Sasuke is now a 2 day event with Day 1 being the first stage only. I believe Sasuke 29 was like that (unsure if 28 was like that but I will be asking). Edit: Stage 1 is complete.

Probable airdate via the Kenji Darvish tweet is July 3rd, 19:00 - 23:00 JST. That's a Thursday in Japan.

Via Nobu Horita, who is one of the set designers for the show. Ah! I was thinking "oh there's another banned person from the show.." LOL I see Sonic the Hedgehog is back! Probable airdate via the Kenji Darvish tweet is July 3rd, 19:00 - 23:00 JST. That's a Thursday in Japan. And awesome deduction skills to get the right timeframe on that. So as of now a 4 hour show a month and a half from now.

It's probably just a coincidence, but since 29 aired on 6/27/2013, maybe Inui will be hoping for 30 to be aired on the same day (or at least week) as last summer.
In any case, I find it kind of funny how both SASUKE RISING tournaments thus far have been aired on the 27th day of a month (28 was on 12/27/2012) considering that SASUKE 27 was the last one held before Inui once again picked up the role as director. EDIT: Well, so much for this theory. Also, I'm sure we'll be getting a fluff piece for Takeda on his Death by Hedgehog in 29. It's so weird to think that Mr. Consistency has (aside from however he did in 30) only cleared three obstacles in the past four years... o___0

Oh that's pure coincidence. The original rumored date was June then it had to be pushed. TBS is the one that sets the schedule. Not the director. He's only told how much time he has to edit the show, he doesn't control the distribution.

I noticed it but I didn't say anything because I wanted others to.
Anyway, they used it for the ASEAN Cup so I don't see why they wouldn't use it this time. And it looks closer to the one used on Sportsman No. 1 than the ASEAN Cup one.

Btw if it's Sportsman version (which IMO is built better).. maybe it's.. higher?

The Sportsman version is meant to increase in height. I don't know what height they used for the ASEAN Open Cup but generally the highest during Sportsman was around 6 meters and the record is 8m25cm by Olympic hammer thrower Koji Murofushi. Which means the wall as it stands is around maybe over 5 meters.

That said it was obviously much lower than Sportsman by quite a bit. I can't tell from the photo if it's the same size as ASEAN or not.

I'm curious as to how exactly the Gallon Throw has been incorporated into the actual course and the specific rules surrounding it.
This thought, however, is assuming that it's not being used for something else. For example, maybe it's being used to determine starting position.

That would be an odd thing to bring in just for starting position though. It wouldn't be good use of time, effort and money, three things they need to conserve.
At the edge of the stage, you can see what might be three holders for the "barrels" that need to be thrown. Maybe three chances to clear the height? Or perhaps three different weights? That would be tricky though because the barrels tend to land unpredictably. Either way, you can make it a first or last obstacle. If it's a last obstacle, I'd say the most likely use would be as a replacement for the Walls at the end, which would make three different weights more probable .

Well the format for the ASEAN was 3 barrels. If you failed one you can use another.. if you failed that you could use the 3rd one. You did that and then ran to do the 3 walls. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that as the start of the 2nd stage or something. Since they used that and timed the entire stage as one event. Would be interesting if they did that as the last obstacle. If so, they would have removed the walls (as that's a rumor that started a couple months back but haven't been able to substantiate).
