Jason Huewe (CCNWTC guy) failed the Bungee Bridge, which looks pretty sweet btw. He was disqualified for using his hands.
Brian Kretsch failed the Monkey Pegs. Non-spoiler: Supposedly taping began at 10:30 PM and there were still many people left to run after the usual finish time of 4 AM.

From 4 am to sun up 5 he production crew ran numbers 67-102 + 2 walk ons. They tried to get more walk ons but sun was clearly out. The new crew in my opinion are really good this year.

CITY FINALS: Spoiler TWO clears. David Campbell and a new guy Spoiler Wow. That...that must be a brutal course. Yeah, we inadvertently found out that the Monkey Pegs were the cutoff for the top 30, so I'm thinking that it's a very real possibility we didn't have 15 beat the Warped Wall.

Looks like a real lack of interest here compared to last year. ANW5 Venice spoilers had 17 pages in the thread. This is weak.

This is called the SASUKE Maniac Forum for a reason. Honestly, ANW doesn't thrill me close to as much as the original Japanese version does. In my honest opinion, it seems too "Americanized" by taking a lot of the meaning away (despite supposed efforts to replicate many concepts from SASUKE) due to hefty prize awards as a major incentive/focus for those competing, a frequent lack of modesty/integrity by certain competitors featured, and relative inaccuracy (and lack of continuity) in regards to past SASUKE and ANC/ANW information. It's far from being completely unappealing to me, but not enough to spur me to chat about it as much as I do on here about SASUKE and the former Monster 9 programs. Besides, other than opinions and assessments about ANW, there's not much for me to contribute lately. Information is still coming in, and the broadcasts are still months away. I still expect a considerable amount of discussion for Venice qualifiers, as well as the other city qualifiers and Vegas finals.

Thread activity directly correlates with disclosed information. It's Season Six; either the lips are tighter, or people aren't doing enough scooping. For myself, I'm more similar to Yam's explanation. I appreciate ANW and the avenue it's been giving out to us Americans (although some could successfully argue more harm than good on an overall scale when bringing Japan in), but the concepts used to make it more "Americanized" never really settled with me. I'm not going to care as much by a potentially ever-changing roster, and I imagine many others would as well, people who like this show way more casually than I might. I don't think saying no or forcing some people who've been successful or doing this for a while to walk-on is a good way to balance vets and rookies. I think it's too much of a coincidence something tends to go wrong course-quality wise nearly every season which causes that one obstacle to be course-breaking. I don't approve of people who were successful in Vegas suddenly having to be walk-ons, when even the least notable guy in Japan was allowed a free competitor slot the next tournament had they cleared a stage in the previous one (usually). Not to mention the numerous continuity errors whether by accident or intentional (most times, it's the latter). I love the aesthetics of the courses, I think some original obstacles or re-imagined ones are pretty awesome, but then some rules are added like the DQ of a competitor for using hands on the Bungee Bridge. that ruin the obstacle for me. I'll keep watching, because I want the show to keep on going because there's clearly a fanbase, and they at the very least deserve a winner, and I still like it to some extent. I have my favorite competitors and I want to see them do well. When they don't, for whatever reason, I get less interested in the show. Of course this is simply from a viewer's aspect (a viewer who if he gets his life and health together, could maybe compete if the opportunity is still there), one that has always compared it with the original (which was never perfect either), because I want to see the show have continued success. But being NBC, it might as well be on a perpetual tightrope, seeing as they have Charles Barkley "turrible" business practices. All that aside, like I said, and like Yam mentioned. The forum isn't as active when nothing's disclosed. As we get closer to air, it'll be a little more active, just like it will be when Sasuke 30 starts becoming more of an actual thing as opposed to just an announcement. If you want to make it more active, then make attempts to. If everyone lurks, no one's going to know anything. Use social media to your advantage, find out who went/competed and see if you can get anything from them. It's like with Sasuke; Inui's on Twitter and he's been shown to interact with many people who make Sasuke inquiries that he can answer, and that's just the one aspect.

I have to point out one thing in regards to something you mentioned, I can understand a rule chance on that particular obstacle since the thing in Venice being referred to as the Bungee Bridge isn't the Bungee Bridge (at least not how we knew it in Sasuke 18 and ANW4's Miami courses), it's more a few slacklines with linkers, a different obstacle but (I'm assuming that this isn't just a fan name) under the same name due to similarities

Not the bungee bridge I was expecting. There has to be some way to recover in regards to what you mentioned that's fair technique.

Did the rule specifically say hands or did they go super anal again and say "You're only allowed to touch it with your feet", since I noticed they get oddly specific with the rules, like the Downhill Jump, couldn't use anything but your feet on the board, not that you would, but if you for some reason had to put a hand on the board you're DQ'd

To those who defend Sasuke I couldn't agree more. I'm merely stating that there seems to be less 'scooping' then last year. I believe it's caused by less interest in the show.

Things ANW needs:
1. A female clearing the regional course.
2. A 3rd Stage Clear/Final Stage attempt.
3. Total Victory. (Going on seven years counting ANC and no one's even beat Stage 3)

I'll take care of two out of three, you're going to have to give me some serious advance notice if you want me to take care of all 3 though, those operations are expensive
