Can anyone explain me what system of competition was used in Sasuke Asean Open Cup?Were there four stages like in Sasuke or it was totally different? And if there is, I would like to see the list of obstacles. Thank you! I did 3 blogs on it - the first 2 blogs has the obstacles and how they are broken up. The 3rd has the results and how they were tallied. All are linked on this very thread. Btw another photo ( Download link since the picture is bigger than featured below)

Pretty sure that Team Japan's jerseys are supposed to be reminiscent of the Samurai Blue style of the Japan national soccer teams. Someone can ask though.

Kanno just posted a pic (I suspect Asa and Morimoto still have some flying to do since they live in Western Japan) Btw new pic from Inui since Japan team is back home. I'll be working on the Day 4 blog all morning so as I find more photo albums I'll link them here. Blog with a lot of awesome photos of the Team Finals. Videos: This channel has a lot of videos of the events from Saturday. Also at the end of This video you see Michelle Warnkey's and Kanno's run on the Hang Stage. Team UK video. Lone UK competitor Ben Jones. Compilation video of the events on Saturday including some of the speed runs.

For those of you who want to play with the numbers, here is an Excel spreadsheet I created from the finals pdf, so that it could be sorted by time or name: Sasuke ASEAN Cup Finals.xlsx (19.51 KB)

( Inui tweet) "Uniform of Japan representative. I was referring to the uniform of the Japan national football team and I like football." He also answered my question about whether or not the other shirts were generic and no each country brought their own jerseys.

Well this has by far been the most rewarding and best experience ANW / Sasuke related I have ever done. I went into it not caring whether or not it was a try out for the next Sasuke. But just a chance to experience the event outside of the confines of ANW and go through some of the same processes the other athletes have been doing for years. It was an amazing time and I am sore as crap from trying to go as fast as I can on obstacles I usually do at a medium pace. It was pure adrenaline and great mental prep for the next ANW and a sasuke's fan dream come true being able to hang out with other like minded individuals and the sasuke all stars. Since this may become a yearly event I'm going to start saving now for the next one! Thanks for compiling everything you all find!

I'll attempt to make my way to Malaysia next year too because of how much everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves. Let me know if you ever pass by Tokyo.

I'd love to hear from you guys that went over there. Feel free to create a thread since there's plenty of space in this forums for it and I know a lot of people have questions to ask all of you! I personally would love to read it as well!

Just got home, and FINALLY have internet again! I've got mad goodies to share (both from the Japan week, and the ASEAN cup weekend), but I have to go through all this to see what peeps have already posted. Needless to say, this was the most amazing, unlikely, and holy-s***-is-this-really-happening-worthy group of experiences in my life!

Maybe this is a difficult concept to understand, but there is a lot more to participating than winning. Especially in this competition which is about people rejoicing in a common goal to do extraordinary things and reach personal heights. Any competitor, even the one who spent thousands of dollars to not qualify and sulks back home 'disappointed' has missed the point. The kind of cultural exchange must be thrilling for all of the participants, young, old, strong and weak alike--to spend just a little bit of time with others who share in your passion-- it must feel priceless. Well this has by far been the most rewarding and best experience ANW / Sasuke related I have ever done. I went into it not caring whether or not it was a try out for the next Sasuke. Even though we've shared fleeting games of smash bros, I know how much it means to both of you. Good stuff. Can't wait to hear more.

I'm losing track of the videos and whatnot though I haven't posted any since no one is posting stuff from Facebook. Remember I don't have Facebook so if the pages are private I can't find them. Most pics and videos are public so if you see any please post them here to share with everyone. Btw Drew also posted a Video of just his runs.
