Just putting this up for those who are heading to Malaysia to take part in the event. Please share all photos, etc. here to keep them centralized. Please note that this is just for photos. Later next week I can create one JUST results. For now this is just obstacles, trip reports, etc. Either way because this is event coverage it will probably contain some spoilers so don't freak out if you see them here. You are warned

Are they building the course over that as the water hazard? Because if they do that feels rigged, theoretically wouldn't getting hit by the fountains disqualify you?

For those curious what Inui looks like: Here he is with Catand Zai (Head of Sasuke Malaysia)

Best of luck to them. Although I am a bit confused as to what's going on with team USA because wasn't Mike Bernardo accepted to compete as well? And I know he should be in Malaysia for it (if Brian is there the group that went to Japan should be in Malaysia as well).
But anyways as for the course, I see the original Lamp Grasper and the Cliffhanger Kai (I.E. the familiar 3rd version). Or I'm really seeing things wrong and everyone is about to get crazy, I think the earlier is more likely though

I want to tell him again that Americans should be in 30 but I already told him a couple times and don't wanna piss him off I hope that some of the top finishers get spots in 30.

It's starting to look like the entire 3rd Stage is Devil Steps, Lamp Grasper, and Altered Cliffhanger... I hope the people who went all the way to Malaysia for this aren't disappointed

iirc the 2nd stage has 3rd stage obstacles. But don't quote me on that. As for being disappointed, everyone knew this was a first year event and it was not going to be like Sasuke. If anything they are going for the chance to get back into Sasuke Japan. It is not lost on Inui that he knows why the Americans flew halfway around the world for this. He knows and is watching. Btw was checking through twitter and found a couple of photos: InstagramSMF member Perry Oosterlee with InuiAnd with Ryo

Are those double Devil steps with two ascensions? That's pretty cool. I might be wrong but it also looks like Rope Junction between Devil Steps and Globegrasper?

Yeah they are double devil steps. Going to do what I can to get those photos up from a couple anonymous sources. I'm also asking permission to blog on this stuff so still waiting on that. If not I'll find a way to put it up for you guys. I can however post the rundown of the course(s) and the format as we know it. It's actually interesting how it's being run. Out of the public photos (this was on Sasuke Malaysia's Facebook) Strat, Perry, Zai (Head of Sasuke Malaysia and head of the Sasuke ASEAN organization), Brian and David. Now.. lemme bring your attention to the back. See that big a** concrete wall? That's the Gallon Throw.. yep.. From Sportsman #1 folks For those who have no idea wtf I'm talking about I did a blog on the last Sportsman #1 ever that has the obstacle being used. That is part of a "stage" that's tied to 4 wall lifting (the rigging is there but the walls were not up yet - that's on the center of the photo).

That Devil Steps variation makes me think that the designers watched a little bit of ANW5 Denver

Okie dokie. Blog is up with photos and overall set up. Forgive me if I have any screw ups in there and I'll amend the best I can when I get more confirmation. As you can tell it's a lot easier to condense in one post than cut and paste here. If ya'll find Facebook or twitter pics, etc. please continue to post them.

Honestly, I'm expect Team Japan and USA to run train on everyone else. Not that I think it won't be competitive throughout the event, but I'm just putting my bets on the countries with the most experience.

Are we sure construction is finished too? They could set up more today since it's still just qualifiers. Maybe a camera set-up even. Probably just hoping high xD
