LOL We posted at the same time. Glad they finally posted something because I was chomping at the bit. I'm happy all Stage 3 competitors from Sasuke 29 got to go. Nice for Shingo to step up as well. I'm looking forward to it. LOL TBS also posted on their Facebook and I'm cracking up at the description.

Well I'm disappointed that Nagano and Takeda didn't get the chance to compete but still with only 5 spots this is the best squad we probably could've got.

Sasuke 29 was BUILT as a qualifier for this event. If it wasn't the 4 stage 3 competitors + someone from Stage 2 in that same event.. there would have been hell to pay by fans who swallowed Sasuke 29's format.

I don't understand how they were chosen. What about the people that got to the walls like Shunsuke? I mean, the stage 3 people are obvious, but Shingo seems odd.

They originally had 7 people on the team but as time wore on and the event was restructured and even rescheduled it became only 5 people per seeded countries. The issue of availability for a week was also taken into account. Remember this is a 4 day event as well. That was also a factor in the equation.

Yeah, the participants had to be able to get off work. Remember, Shingo is the owner (well, co-owner) of the car shop. And I think he only works part-time. His schedule is pretty flexible.

USA entries should be in another thread but Inui is encouraged a lot are signing up. How many will actually go is another subject. I know a couple that signed up but either can't go or can't come up with the money. But again, another thread. RC I'm not sure why you bolded the All-Star word. They never lost their titles

RC I'm not sure why you bolded the All-Star word. They never lost their titles Shingo even gained a title recently. All-God Star-Father Shingo! Mightier than all of Asgard!

I really think team japan were given these titles to make them more identifiable to viewers who don't follow Sasuke ("Oh, that's THE MUSCLE" or "I don't know his real name but his nickname is "The Godfather")

Probably because (with my feelings of them), with ANW's nicknames, some of them just aren't that good and made "just because". It's good to make competitors identifiable, Sasuke does it, and they have had stinkers too, but ANW's bad ones seem more contrived.
