Updated blog. Trying to keep up with the articles and stuff but there's a lot of repeats. If anyone finds unique things like pics and video please let us know.

Good job on the blog. Also BTW ANW's Rope Glider was actually very safe, Besides the fact they put it as obstacle 3 so instead of putting all the joke competitors on it, not to mention that the island wasn't as stiff (both in material where it was more padded and in surface where it had a little more room on the water), and it was slightly shorter, not to mention the way they designed the ramp part allowed people to slow their momentum from the start if they wanted to (I'm sure you might criticize that part though lol ). The version from 18 was a death trap but I give ANW credit for actually pulling that obstacle off in a good way. BTW there's a bit of padding on the HPA landing (I don't know how much), it's definitely safer than the version from 27

Sorry for double posting and thanks to Philip for pointing out they put this up but they uploaded another video, this one is a run for Team America, please note THIS VIDEO CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR A ROUND. This is a Stage 2 run by Brian Arnold (which contains Ryo's result mentioned) www.nbc.com/american-ninja-warrior/video/brian-arnold-dominates/n44785/But upon watching that videos and hearing the announcers, I understand the whole system now I think, take this with a grain of salt since I'm speculating! (I hope I'm not in trouble for speculating, I technically do have ANW5 NDA but that's pretty much up since everything has aired, I'm not sure if this falls into that though but this is speculation, I don't know anything about the rules for this event) It seems to be going on a best 3 out of 5 system in as many rounds as that takes (with an obvious maximum of 5) for each stage, each with one member of a respective team running the course, and then after that a member from the opposing team (As in the team that wasn't the first to run) runs the course tries to beat that result, whoever wins the round is counted for the best 3 out of 5 system for the stage, which winning the stage gives a point as explained earlier, and those points are tallied up at the end to determine the winner (or if tied causes a head to head run on the Final Stage)

Yeah, it's amazing how little advertising is happening for this show.

You know.. in 2 hours TBS managed to show all the relevant competitors through all 4 stages (even if through a FF).. so.. why didn't they show all of them since they were only 10 friggin' athletes?? /facepalm

I really liked the team competition format. Some people might argue that it's not good for the show, and that it's not about competition blah blah blah.... but the truth is it was a friendly competition... did you see how many times they shook hands and bowed and stuff. It was great!

It was great![/quo They were lucky that half the USA list were Sasuke vets and all heavy Sasuke fans. Had it been other people this would have been the disaster I thought it would be. NBC's creative editing was hysterical though. I'm about done the 1st stage screencapping and I was cackling at how they had to mix that lineup up to make whatever they wanted to show pan out. No I'm not saying it was rigged.. I'm saying the way it was shown last night was not quite the order or set up how it happened for real. Hate the network and the presentation. I'm totally fine with guys there from both sides. NBC got lucky.

And it didn't feel rigged but team usa had the advantage due to the fact they ran this course already while team japan had to adapt to the usa versions (not to mention the fact the usa guys tried the stage 3 obstacles, none of team japan made stage 3 in 25 or 26 so those were somewhat new to them)

LOL Brent totally didn't compete against Asa..
