According to David Campbell, there are several new changes to Sasuke's First Stage. Here's what he said:
So in short: -Pole Maze gone -Flying Chute gone -Log Grip - moved to 3rd obstacle
What are your thoughts?

Everyone wanted the Pole Maze gone, the Log Grip shift doesn't bother me.
I would think they would keep the Chute until another course redesign. Perhaps someone got injured or TBS took Stuart Hall seriously when he said the Chute was dangerous.

The question I have is, how does David know this already, even before he got to the course? Still, he's as credible a source as anyone. I'm not sure why they took the Flying Chute out either. I always thought it was a pretty good obstacle, and has taken out pretty much every good competitor. It could be considered dangerous, I guess. Still, I always thought it was a good obstacle.
So how do you think the course will be aligned now? Sextuple Step Unknown obstacle Log Grip Jumping Spider Half-pipe Attack New obstacle?? Warped Wall Tarzan Rope/Rope Ladder
These next few days will definitely be interesting...

I said this over on G4, so I'll say it here.
Remember when Olivia posted a video of her on the site with Mark and Luci? Maybe David got to see the course the same way.
In any case, it is now about 9:30 in Japan, everyone is getting to the course, and we can say:
SASUKE 22 IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The course was up by Sunday for testing and rehearsal so maybe they let the G4 crew in for filming purposes.

Well, more people would be inclined to believe him than to believe you. If people are arguing with you about it, it's more of a credibility thing - do we trust the person that has the higher chance of possibly seeing the course, or not?
And you don't need to see the full course or see the course in action in order to notice things like a giant ramp above a pool of water missing.

Yes, remember before Sasuke 18 when those behind-the-scenes shows were going on. I'm sure this is no different.

I'm just taking a wild guess here, but I think Rokudantobi stay and transistion into something else, Log Grip then after getting off (HEY! Not that way!) turn to the Jumping, Halpipe Attack into new obstacle, Warped Wall forwards again, down steps like it used to be then across the walkway, into the Final Climb, walk across the bridge and hit the button.

Well like everyone has said the Flying Chute being gone is a shocker, but fine as long as they put something even tougher in...This will be interesting to see these new obstacles, do you think they've done sumthing new to the other stages?

Metal spin won't go but the swing ladder will go I think.

Actually I think the Metal Spin would go before Swing Ladder sadly. No one failed the Metal Spin since 17, and the Swing Ladder proved to be a time killer in 21.
