Man it was great to see Brian Arnold get so far it looks like the competition and talent is getting better and the experience is starting to payoff. They may be right it may be a rock climber that becomes the First American Ninja warrior. All I know Brian was in beast mode on the climbing obstacles on and he was so close to completing the last obstacle. Loved watching him climb he looked so comfortable on the hand climb and the spider flip.

Might be off on run order but trying to get it close to the broadcast. And like you said I'm saying this as perfect 29 Stage 3, no mods like a 60 pound rumbling dice...
Travis Weinand: Crazy Cliffhanger
James McGrath: Vertical Limit
Travis Rosen: CCH
Idoku Abbuh: CCH
Joe Moravsky: CCH
Casey Finley: Rumbling Dice
Brian Arnold: Pipe Slider
I expect difficulty from some on the Iron Paddler (I can see Adoku having most trouble here out of everyone), and Casey didn't seem to have the right preparation for stage 3 and his grip seems like it can go out from the impact of the drops, James and Brian seem to be the only ones ready for the CCH in this group and I can see James having trouble on the VL due to his size

Nothing really seemed broken aside from rest periods, obstacle wise I think they did a good job How long were the rest breaks, RiderLeangle? Brian Arnold and Joe Moravsky probably did better on the Floating Boards because they grabbed the boards closer to the top, while Travis Rosen and James McGrath grabbed the boards slightly above center. The Flying Bar is definitely my favorite final obstacle in Stage 3. It's much trickier than the Pipe and Ring obstacles.

Now that I think about it, Brent Steffensen made the floating boards look super easy. He didn't seem to struggle or look nearly as awkward as this year's competitors.

Buster? Would you mind actually writing like the rest of us? The font changes plus the blue on blue (for those of us who use the blue background preset) is really hard to read and annoying. It's like you are trying to grab attention for yourself.

Besides, I just changed it all to white writing.

Which makes it even worse for people who have the white background

I hadn't heard anything saying they stared timing rest periods in ANW5 so I assumed it was still completely untimed like ANW4.
As for the debate of Buster's version of Really, it was amusing the first time but you've kinda overused it recently... I think you've done more in the past few weeks than SNL ever did... As for the subject this time... while yes I agree about the spirit of Sasuke that there's no vs, just everyone vs the obstacles, I can't fault ANW for doing this... if anything Malaysia is more at fault since the ASEAN Cup is the same concept (not sure about execution) on a bigger scale... which was announced before the ANW one was finalized it seems anyways...

Yea I can't read it now. And TBS suggested the tournament. Not NBC so before anyone starts with the "nbc is evil" words

With what I mentioned about how almost everyone being knocked out from the first 3 obstacles, I didn't really notice anything that seemed like something was changed about the Floating Boards. In a way, something that keeps happening to a lot of the competitors this year is how they're getting too "hyped up" mentally. That's the one thing that we've learned time and time again about Sasuke/ANW is that mentally, and physically, this course can eat you up like nothing else.

Wow that's crazy . I actually predicted the same places for james and arnold . I thought arnold would struggle to clear the last gap . He wouldn't have a prob with the cch and vertical limit due to his finger strength . James would beat the cch ,but as you said he wouldn't be able to pull of the vertical limit . Afterall it is 1cm and what is the dude like 80 killograms .

Anyone complaining about chalk is a cry baby. How is it unreasonable to expect the options of chalk and spray? If Japan can do it, surely America can. How come some competitors can make it to the flying bar without chalk or spray? Cuz it's not necessary. Train harder.....

Really hate them showing the other competitors 'cheering' . You could see Brent Steffenson was glad he didn't make it to stage 4. Its human nature. When these guys are this committed, they do not want to see anyone else win, they want to be the one, yet they have to put on the facade or being supportive and cheering. Sure they were happy to hug the buggar when he fell, lol

None of them would get past the CCH, sorry. Maybe Arnold , Brent and Derek can, but it's SO hard.

Posting a spoiler I received anonymously. Hope it clears up what some people were confused about. Spoiler They gave about 30 - 40 sec between obstacles on stage 3. Travis Rosen and Brian Arnold ran stage 3 twice. Travis failed FB both times, power went out on half the stage during his first run, so he got about 30 min before second. First time Brian went he really struggled on the floating boards, then on the uch one of the rails apparently broke while he was on it. So they gave him about 30 min break and he went through again. The second time is the one you saw, where he did much better on the FB which probably allowed him to get further than he would have on his first run

Oh, they fixed last year's rest problem... in that case they did good on Stage 3 (aside from those two malfunctions at least). The power thing I don't think was isolated to Vegas, there were a couple of times the lights shut off during Jesse Villarreal's run in Baltimore although that didn't result in a re-run. the UCH has no real excuse... I heard the ledge came off so they should have checked their screws or whatever better...

I'm glad to hear about them correcting the rest breaks.
I did notice that the scaffolding for the rest bar was way too close to the end of the Spider Flip. It looks like Brian Arnold just grabbed the vertical scaffolding pipe without needing to crawl down the Spider Flip.
