He was RIGHT there.. this reminds me of that year of sasuke where the guy got to the END of round 3 and just had to land and he fell in the water.
I think with his upperbody he could have beaten stage 4. Its a shame but good job anyways!

Holy s*** this audience needs to shut up! "GO GO GO GO GO" perfect thing to say on Stage 3. PERFECT. TOTALLY AGREED DUDE BASED ON MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE! When I was in Vegas, Jenn Brown made the whole f***ing crowd cheer for no reason and ALL the applause is FAKE! It was too bad I kinda missed some of it because of DWTS. That's another show I love to watch.

Was it just me or did anyone else notice that the UCH was easier? The first 2 angled ledges were campus boards and he literally only had to grab them once.... Usually those ledges were longer and wider.. Oh and also stage two was a joke and by far was way to easy (other than the DSL)

Anyone complaining about chalk is a cry baby. Brian Arnold did it, so can anyone else that fell on the floating boards. They'll just get rid of it cuz it took out so many guys.

6 out of 7 failing within the first 3 obstacles...that's a definite sign of how much more everyone needs to do.
At least with the last guy, to see he was "that" close to the end, was gut wrenching, but still a solid showing of how it can be done and how close a lot more people are for getting the right stuff done for it all.

If they sent the top 10 to Sasuke 30 it would be 1- Brian Arnold 2- Joe Moravsky 3- Travis Rosen 4- James McGrath 5- Travis Weinand 6- Casey Finley 7- Idoko Abuh 8- Andres De La Rosa 9- Lorin Ball 10- Chris Romrell

Damn.... SO CLOSE!!! But what a run it was regardless and Joe Moravsky representing my college with the 2nd best finish of the season! That was a good choice for your 50th post. I edited it out again.
Okay that's all I have to say. Talk to you guys later.

How long were the Stage 3 rest breaks this year? Was it still 2 minutes or more?
Was the final rung of the Flying Bar the correct distance from the finish landing platform? Was the Stage 3 finish landing platform slightly curved downward like it is in SASUKE? I couldn't tell.
The constant (piped-in?) cheering and screaming during Stage 3 really annoyed me. I guess I'm used to how quiet Stage 3 usually is in SASUKE.
The camera work for Stage 3 was just as bad as last year. There were too many shots from camera people standing at ground-level and pointing the camera upwards, and I really disliked how the camera would constantly move all over the place, without rhyme or reason, while someone was attempting an obstacle.

Yeah, it was a short video video about 50 minutes through the episode. The video was like a 1 minute to 2 minutes long.

Hehe well done to arnold . In fact there's something about him that reminds me of stratis or campbell . I do agree the first two boards of the uch were easier . It seems the ledges were closer and less angled aswell . I honestly don't know why so many people failed the floating boards . The sasuke 25 version looked harder . The hang climbing looked brutal tho . The spider flip was great . I didn't like the flying bars ,one bit . I feel its to much of a wildcard obstacle . It doesn't give all competitors a fair chance of victory . Its almost as if it relies on a competitor to get lucky rather than to have utmost precision .

What if all the american ninja warrior competitors in anw5 who made it to stage 3 had to attempt the sasuke 29 version of stage 3 . All the obstacles remain exactly the same and in the exact order ,with the same difficulty . Where do you think someones like travis rosen would finish off ?

The Floating Board had the little lips removed from the ends of the boards, those were present in ANW4 as well as Sasuke 25. As for the Flying Bar, I think having such precision is the whole point, that's what makes it a challenge, if anything *puts up shield* the ANW version is better than the Sasuke version, when we saw it earlier on in 27 the notches seemed more slippy but the ANW version seems pretty secure.

I'm not taking anything away from the flying bar its just I would of preferred the gliding ring . I just feel that the flying bar could be biased towards heavier competitors ,especially at the end .did I mention the hang climbing is insane .

Anyone complaining about chalk is a cry baby. How is it unreasonable to expect the options of chalk and spray? If Japan can do it, surely America can.

I swear I saw a can of sticky spray given at the start line, but not between obstacles (but a towel was given so that's something).
Honestly I actually liked stage 3, even if the UCH seemed to have the first two ledges toned down. the floating board was evil but didn't seem ridiculously unfair... Brian cleared it and Joe came close, seems just like a case of bad luck and slight lack of preparation (luckily I've been preparing for this version since Sasuke 25 aired). Nothing really seemed broken aside from rest periods, obstacle wise I think they did a good job
