Iunno that's conflicting to me... I love night time stage 1 visually but I hate how that splits the competition up... Also cold night... but that's just regionals I guess... I have no clue how cold it gets in vegas overnight at the end of May... I know late april in Baltimore is cold as f*** though lol

Is there a "waiting period" till ANW gets stuff like the Crazy Cliffhanger or Vertical Limit? Does an american have to beat it an earlier version of it, like the ultimate cliffhanger, to get the update? Or does it have to play well in Japan to be considered? Is it completely random?

I wouldn't know the answer to that, but I feel like maybe they just want somebody to beat this course first before they change to the more newer recent obstacles?

I'm guessing because the UCH is "iconic" in the ANW series. Bear in mind that most ANW viewers have never seen SASUKE 28 or 29.

It's like iOS and Android. IOS 7 is ANW and Android is Sasuke
IOS is barely bringing in "features" that android has had for a long time.
The general public with iphones won't know because they're used to ios with old features While the people with android are yelling "we've had this for a long time!!!!"
Get my analogy?

This is all speculation on my part, but in a way, I think this is part of why it's been so quiet about the recent tournaments for Sasuke Rising to be shown here in the U.S. Until we get a champion for our tournament, we can't jump ahead to what Japan's doing just yet. They'll do some stuff like the Jump Hang Kai for the regionals, but anything else major like the Crazy Cliffhanger and such, we won't be able to get until we can get our own "Total Victory" for the U.S. Once when that happens, then I can see us doing what Rising's doing with the obstacles and all. Especially to have it shown for here in the U.S since we'll need some "official" practicing on what to expect. Back to the main topic, with so many able to advance this year to Stage 3, even after some questionable moments with the Salmon Ladder and the Metal Spin, it's definitely going to be an interesting sight to see what goes down for how far everyone gets.

The chance of an anw total victory has never been greater . To be quite honest I'm not sure if there is any american competitor capable of defeating the cch . Maybe david campbell or james mcgrath could be the only guys to do so .

Most people thought that the rest of this post didn't have any SASUKE 29 spoilers, but it ended up having some.

I think the only way you beat Caldeiro next year is by being quicker up a rope or if his drifter lifestyle doesnt afford him a new pair of shoes for the plexiglass stuff. I am glad we have a half dozen guys taking stage 3. Travis Rosen is interesting because he is 38 and has been at this since ANW2 I think. This is the first time he made it to stage 3, which requires a pretty distinct skill set, so we get to see if he has got the goods. I mean, since it seems like everybody trains disproportionately for stage 3, this has got to be pretty big for him. I also want to see Travis Weinland, since he is a bigger guy, like 6'3" 200 or something? Basically I am old and large and will be living vicariously through these two this year haha.

Arnolds a beast in rock climbing . He could beat the uch and pwn the hang climbing . I'm not sure if he could handle the other obstacle tho . I'm still sticking with this kid steffenson . He's got the stage 3 experience that's needed . I say this time we have a final stage attempt by brett . Maybe moravasky could be the darkhorse .

Maybe we should stop making speculation until the ep airs tomorrow... especially since known info has been on the forums... lets stop before speculation turns to spoilers...

Guys.. how is this thread already 2 pages long and the episode hasn't even aired? Stick to topic. This, along with the fact that we are seeing/having to remove SASUKE 29 spoilers in this thread. I know most of us have seen it already, but we do have a policy regarding spoilers for SASUKE 29 outside of the SASUKE 29 board. (The original post regarded SASUKE 28 and can be found here, but it still applies to this situation.)
