It was kinda sad seeing David time out on the Rope Ladder, but it was so awesome of him to still continue on even though there was only 10 seconds left after the WW.
Also, why is the finish buzzer in the middle lol.

But thanks to him Asa still has all his teeth

Yeah they kinda just send the testers out before the padding is 100% finished... like in Baltimore, 4 of us (including me) got through the Downhill Jump before it had padding on the supports, we started questioning our value to the staff when they decided to put some up after sending us through (ok not literally but we were joking around about it lol )

I can't believe they made the run-up before the Jumping Spider shorter than SASUKE 26. That doesn't even make any sense.

Holy s***!!!! David Campbell fails stage 1 again? What is happening? Chill out, Nagano, Yuuji, the greats have failed stage 1 numerous times, and they're still the best.

The Giant Cycle, and the Frame Slider, should serve as warnings to everyone to be careful of the next ANW tournament, especially if someone defeats the course. The ANW producers seem to love commissioning new obstacles that are safety hazards and death traps.
I can only guess that the Rolling Escargot scares the producers because of safety reasons, but I thought that the Giant Cycle looked dangerous even before seeing it in action last night. Those 2 female contestants came really close to hitting their heads on the landing platform.
I hope that David Campbell is just going through a short slump like Nagano and Urushihara previously.
Last night's opening, and a lot of the episode itself, just pissed me off, because the ANW producers love to promote showboating. I guess they want the ANW spirit to be the anti-SASUKE spirit. (I have nothing against celebrating after completing a stage, Kenji Takahashi screaming after completing Stage 3 in SASUKE 24 is one of my favorite moments, but many of the ANW celebrations just seem like chest-thumping and self-promotion; they don't seem as spontaneous as many of the SASUKE ones.)

I don't know which Jumping Spider irritated me more due to its construction, this year's or Sasuke 19's.

I'm really irritated with the announcers during Jamie Vanacore's run. Not saying that I blame her for failing, but claiming that her problem was going for distance and not height. Yeah, I'm sure her injured knee didn't affect things at all.

Holy s***!!!! David Campbell fails stage 1 again? What is happening? He looked so sharp in the semis but he looked like he was off the entire run I am wondering how bad that shoulder was hurting him

Can't say I'm surprised he Frame Slider hurt David, it injured people for the first time and David has a history of shoulder problems (dislocated it before ANW2 (qualifiers and semis) and never got a chance to really heal it when it needed it), but his fail really brings me to my next comment:
Putting the Rope Glider on was a f***ed idea... ANW isn't supposed to punish you for success, but that's what this obstacle did with its contruction... Water comes up through and splashes up when you land... Many people had wet shoes going into the JS which did not help with the insanely short runup (when *source* told me it was a one step runup he wasn't kidding...), hell TBH I might just go for the risk and just jump over the runup and to he trampoline (city finals SL style), I know I can fly like that... Can' be more dangerous than doing it normally with that f'd design...

Holy s***!!!! David Campbell fails stage 1 again? What is happening? OMG I was MORE shocked than you! I actually saw that run in person. I was running alongside him on the sidelines. I was wearing a red shirt and one of the people to yell "GO DAVID" when he slipped off the WW!

Not only was the splashing not a big deal but they previded us with a dry towel just in case it was necessary

Any time it splashed was when people were releasing too early and lading on the edge.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, with how many people were trying to dry their feet on the wood and their pants along with the towel it seemed like a huge issue

I think most people were were using it just because it was there and just wanted to make sure, the number of fails on that thing was getting into a lost of competitors heads and just like the first clear can open the flood gates a big fail can slam them shut and put up mental barriers
