I'm interested about your opinion. My opinion is that it's stupid. You clear stage 3 but someone else had faster time than you and you can't attempt final stage.I would be very happy if there will no be this rule in SASUKE 30.
What is your opinion?

I'm almost positive this was a one time deal for the ASEAN Cup. It should be back to normal next time.

I personally believe it is against the spirit of SASUKE. I believe SASUKE is about anyone who achieves Kanzenseiha keeps the title, and this rule takes away the concept.

So, it may just be me, but... I don't think the timer had anything to do with the final stage... It was for the ASEAN cup, and just helped judge who would be a qualifier, not who would move on to stage 4

They could have just chosen the fastest stage 3 clear to go to the ASEAN cup, then have the final stage as normal.

And then what happens if someone completes the Final Stage but had the slowest 3rd Stage time? Chaos, man. Chaos.

It was unsettling really as it made people secretly glad Morimoto failed - not cool IMO!

It was unsettling really as it made people secretly glad Morimoto failed - not cool IMO! Which doesn't make any sense considering if Morimoto cleared, assuming the results were the same, no one even came close. That's why he's the 1st named representative for Japan in the first place, he was the best on the stage anyways.
