Since watching some of the recent Olympics I've been more curious than ever....
....which Olympians did you enjoy seeing in past competitions, which ones would you want to see back, and which ones would you like to see try the course that haven't yet?
I've always enjoyed seeing the Hamm twins, Jovtchev and Terek perform. Jovtchev is likely the most successful one since he's been to the Final Stage once and the Third Stage three times. I hope he can get past this new first stage sometime because he seemed like he was doing fine until the Warped Wall last time. It's a shame that the other three are hurt becuase I'd really like to see them return sometime - I kinda get a kick out of the announcer saying "Paul ANTHONY Terek" as well! And of course, Japanese Olympians like Nakata and Yoshiaki Hatakeda have impressed me. I know we'll probably never see Nakata again, but I'm surprised that Hatakeda only showed up, like, once, because he did good up until the Cliff Hanger.
As for who I'd like to see attempt the course....hmm, I'm not sure. It's something to think about. How about you guys?

Two Olympians were there. One was a gold medalist at Beijing and the other was a medalist (not gold) at Beijing. Who they are is unknown at this point though. I think they'll both be gymnasts.

^ Haha I'd love to see Michael Phelps try it. If I was at Monster9 I would've invited him, he probably wouldn't have come but think of the publicity on the offchance that he accepted.
I'm curious to see who the new Olympians for Sasuke 21 are. Unfortunately we probably won't recognise them, and won't be able to identify them on first viewing because it's damn hard trying to understand Japanese renditions of foreign names, lol. Would you have got Levi Meeuwenberg from "LEE VAI MYU-WEN-BAA-GUU"? lol

Heh, you're probably right...knowing Phelps I doubt this'd be his thing. But I feel like some lesser-known types will step up. Japanese, no doubt, but other nationalities would be good too. I think it'd be cool for other Americans to step up.
American names would be tough on the announcers. I mean, some would be easy to pronounce (i.e. "Paul ANTHONY Tereee-kuh!") but names like Levi's are definitely tricky to announce....lol!
And I'm sure this couldn't be Bolt's thing either, but imagine him trying to be faster than Takeda and Nagano, two of the fastest people to ever hit the course....hmm....

Is swimming really a skill you want to use on the course?

Kosuke Yamaguchi was a fin swimmer and he did alright on the course. Now think how well Phelps would do since he is a much better swimmer.

*grumbles* Try having Hitt as a last name and yes, it is said as if you "Hit" someone.
Going with the whole how they say their names over there, I would be getting hit everytime someone said my name. To avoid bruises, I will remain in America.
*tries to remember which AMC they called with an o at the end of his name all the time during the tournament.*
I would like to see the Hamm's back also but with both of them being injured and unable to compete for the Olympics, I don't think we will see them there.

Buretto Buretto Buretto Buretto! Or, go Buretto go!
Yeah, it's too bad that the Hamm twins are injured. And with a torn knee, I'm thinking Terek won't be able to go either. But is there any word on Jovtchev?
Now I wonder how the announcers could say Bolt's name? (This ought to be fun.)

I know it's getting late when my brain goes into Futurama mode and someone orders pizza for "I. C. Wiener".. can you imagine that coming out of an announcers booth? Next.. is I. C. Wieneru...
