Patrick was not there. Don't know if he couldn't make it last minute or if he wasn't given a spot but I didn't see him. I wouldn't consider Sean being cocky, that was just him having fun with it. Sometimes that helps to ease the pressure while running. Also some people have said they can't hear the crowd at all when they run just due to being focused so much. I know this year I decided to try and have more fun with it and that thought process alone helped to keep me relaxed and perform better. If you take it too serious then you are just bound to set yourself up for failure.

And I can see how being relaxed can cause better results than taking it seriously. I was more irritated by the headphones than anything. At least he wasn't doing a backflip off of the Warped Wall, or hanging by one hand on the Peg Board to wave at the crowd.

Waving at the crowd I can put up with, but the back flip on the Warped Wall thing is just annoying. He used the headphones at ANW 4's vegas finals so it really isn't surprising, it's the dancing he did that made me hate it, if it wasn't for that I'd be fine with it.

Honestly I used to be the same way when people did this kind of thing on the course. I wasn't for it and it irritated me because if anything I was scared for that person that they were going to fall and ruin their chances. Ultimately I learned to stop worrying about what other people do while they run because I have no clue what is going on in their head and what works best for them while running. It is definitely a weird feeling and sometimes you don't even realize what you are doing until you watch afterwards.
