Kouji... why he isn't considered one already I'll never know.

Kouji... why he isn't considered one already I'll never know. According to the Sasuke 29 introduction he is reinstated. He was called a Shin Sedai before he left the platform. He was for a few tourneys.. removed when TBS took full control then reinstated again after much backlash.

They didn't really focus on Shin Sedai as a group this tourney, so explains why I missed it.

I don't think Morimoto deserves to be a Shin Sedai just yet.... but if I had to choose one person it would be Kongu

Asa was put into the Shin Sedai after only 2 Stage 1 clears and 1 Stage 2 clear, so why can't Morimoto be put in too?

Exactly . The kid deserves some sort of award for making it to the pipe slider . Much further than the other athlethes who were excpected to do so . I say give him a spot . He has to watch out for stage 1 and 2 next time . If he is able to clear that then I think he would be likely to clear stage 3 . However it is highly likely that the designers will adjust stage 3 again .

The reason why I said no was because he sort of 'cheated' his way into stage 3 by sliding under the last wall of the passing wall and there was no 30 second break rule in the 3rd stage due to the ASEAN Open Cup

My personal Shin Sedai would be Urushihara, Kanna, Asa, Matachi, Morimoto, and Hashimoto.
I'm guessing Sato and Tajima aren't considered members anymore because of their absences.

Kongu has been a SASUKE veteran for a pretty long time now, his first tournament being SASUKE 7 I believe. Shin Sedai is for the more recent competitors who have shown the best ability. 2. I can understand where you're coming from on Morimoto, but keep in mind that Nagano was immediately put in the All-Stars after SASUKE 9, which was his first good tournament. Shiratori was also considered an All-Star after just three tournaments.

Sasuke 5 was Kong's first if I remember correctly, 7 was just his first broadcast run

Just a little off topic, when they showed Kong in S7 doing the cliffhanger with his striped shirt and hair. I was like awh baby Kong. But Kong ain't Shin Sedai material. He is basically all-star material. He is in that group of people that are like half a step behind the all-stars.

People like okuyama lee and kongu kind of formed their own sort of group . The older experienced atlethes .

I will only consider Morimoto a Shin Sedai if he can prove his SASUKE 29 performance wasn't a fluke

TBS is also likely looking for certain "types" when making Shin Sedai selections: Kanno's the pretty boy, Asa's the drama queen, etc. They're looking for people who'll be interesting to tv viewers.

Kanno is the hot one . Asa is the passionate one (like yamada L¤L ) yuuji is the one who came from nothing to the greatest grand champion ever . Ryo is the strong competitor who has popularity on the web . Now I'm figuring out why kouji was demoted . Tbs probably felt that his personality was too bland or uncreative . Or he didn't have something extraodinary

I will only consider Morimoto a Shin Sedai if he can prove his SASUKE 29 performance wasn't a fluke Yea because beating a stage 2 that took out the only 2 time grand champion, the 1st person to beat the ultimate cliff hanger, an allstar, and everybody's favorite UNCLI (except mine) was a fluke. Then he goes on to beat the CCH and the Vertical Limit. Clearly he'll never be able to do that twice.... *Shakes head* And Hioki if I heard right. I know she can't see this but yea one stage 1 clear and now he's a shin sedai? How about Yuuya Kadono who's actually passed the 1st stage both times he has run? Nah he's lame cuz Bunpei wasn't at his wedding. *Shakes head*
