Outside of the water tank hatred of mine and results of favorite competitors (which can't be helped) I voted #2. It was good but there were things I didn't like. More tweaking for the show but still progress.

#3 for me.
IMO, there were major issues with the first stage editing. I can't put my finger on it, but it goes from painfully slow to breakneck speed fast-forwards. Instead of just showing the clears, they could have easily shown the last 20-30 seconds of those runs (especially the sub-10 second clears which are always exciting.) The actual course was miles better (even though I hate random obstacles like the Hedgehog).
The second stage time limit + the Backstream kind of ruined the second stage for me. I'm not opposed to a 90 second time limit, but dropping it 45 seconds after one tournament was not fair. 110 or 105 would have been the sweet spot and would have let a few more through to the third stage.
The third stage was really good. The UCH really messed up 25-27's third stage, but I feel the CCH is tough enough without being totally unbalanced. It still allows for tough obstacles before and after. I'll be honest; I've never been a fan of the Pipe Slider. I've always felt that there's simply too much out of the control of the competitors, namely, will the Pipe "stick" or not. In some tournaments, the Pipe seemed to slide back no matter what anyone did, and other times, it stuck a bit better. Morimoto had bad luck in 29 with the Pipe never really settling.
Sasuke 29 wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't exceptional. Inui has a ways to go, but at least some progress has been made since the mess that was 28.

#2 Option Because Nagano and Takeda both failed Stage 1 and Stage 2 was WAY TOO hard (probably harder than Stage 3)! Not about Sasuke 29 but I had a few streaming issues: I couldn't see Keita, Washimi, and Takeda in Stage 1 and Morimoto passing the CCH in Stage 3 (I saw him on later obstacles).
Otherwise, it was AWESOME! Seeing 21 Stage 1 clears, Yusuke Morimoto Emerging and passing the CCH, Kongu returning to Stage 3, and Shingo returning to Stage 2; all of these made me very happy and proud of my first FULL live Sasuke broadcast!

They could have edited it SO much better. Maybe it was because i had streaming issues and was spoiled for some, or because i woke up in the middle of stage 1, but it just wasn't all that for me

Second option for me, stage 1 was edited kind of odd (not just skipping all but the button of some runs... Yuuji was ff'd... why would the clear of the only 2-time champ get fast-forwarded), Backstream had jets too powerful, and I may have misunderstood but didn't like how the ASEAN cup rules meant only fastest clear would have gone to the final stage (granted that situation didn't happen but that was odd). But overall a good tournament

2nd option for me. I think the first stage needs to be tougher. Of course, I wanted all the allstars to clear, and I would've loved seeing Shunsuke back in the 3rd stage. He was so close too. And if what Rider said is true about the time in the third stage, then that's just bs.

Arsenette corrected me in the reactions thread, I misunderstood when they talked about the rules, it was just for ASEAN Cup qualifying, nothing to do with stage 3 aside for overriding the 30 second rule

As others said, I chose option 2. The second stage was way too difficult (either have a harsh time limit or a timesink obstacle, not both. And when you have someone who surfs as a hobby talking about how powerful the jets are, and someone who trained for that obstacle failing...) and there were way, way too many stage 1 fast forwards, such as most of the Shin Sedai, but other than that, I loved it.

A solid number two. Add a couple more clears in the 1st and 2nd stage and it would be better, though that couldn't be helped.

If it wasn't for Morimoto, this tourney would have been pretty lackluster. Takeda failing early again, Nagano failing the same spot, and Kanno and Asa failing the same spots. Morimoto single handedly turned all of that around though.
Also, Hioko and Shingo's clears were tear inducing.

Why are 75 percent of the options in this poll "bad" options? 5 of them are negative, and only 2 positive. I'm giving this tournament 8 out of 10.

I think that it was a good tournament, not a great tournament, but it was good tournament to be my first tournament via live stream. Because of this, I voted the #2 choice.

#4 for me. The designers need to figure out their s**t on stage 2. If it wasn't for Morimoto, it would have been #5.

#2 for me. Stage 1 was good but the editing of it wasn't great imo. Stage 2 I didn't mind the new Backstream but the time limit was so strict that I think 5-10 more seconds would have helped. Stage 3 and the tournament was made my Morimoto's performance. Definitely not expected but pleasantly surprised.
Overall, I thought the tournament was good. A lot of digests and I wish more of the returning competitors had air time but overall an enjoyable tournament.

Now that I've seen most of it... I agree there were way too many people I wanted to see digested, and that made the show seem really short. I don't hate the Backstream and Hedgehog, but wouldn't mind seeing them go. I wish Navi had been longer with a lot of fluff pieces. I'm not a fan of the fluffy stuff being in SASUKE itself, although I'll take what I can get.

#2 for me. There were way too many digests and IMO, stage 2 was a killer due to the Backstream, it changing its current throughout Stage 2 and the strict time limit

I liked the tournament as a whole. Probably my favorite since 25. Shingo's first stage clear put me in such a good mood, it was awesome.
And Kanno's fail kinda bummed me out a bit.
