Why they heck are they even getting in trouble in the first place? They should know there are no such things as "secrets". You get fans that know every minute detail of what their celebrity is doing all the time. You get those guys to go to a place where are bunch of their fans are congregating, of course they are going to be recognized. It's just idiotic to think otherwise. Agree 100%. Which 'genius' producer thought "hey ,we'll take some of the top stars from the original parent show to our version, have them out in the open , but no one will spot them..." duurrrrrrrrr To then 'blame' them for being seen and/or a rumour is madness. Are they supposed to turn invisible? Run the course in full gear and never reveal their faces?

Just curious - how do we know they're "getting into trouble?" Is someone there relaying that info to people on this board?

From what I gather it's openly discussed and others are seeing what's going on. It's in open view. They showed up to the stands to watch Saturday night's.. then heard some discussion then all of a sudden they were taken away from the stands to be away from the audience. It's happening again today during the Japan vs. USA final that's going on as I type this. The final between the countries is organized as 3 vs 3 on each stage. Overall team who wins gets this huge silver trophy. Wish I had been a handler or nearby when production was yelling at the Japanese stars. I would have put them in their place and reminded them who's show they are licensed from, and how if they piss off the reps of the parent show and word gets back to TBS maybe there wouldn't be an ANW next year and they'd be to blame. Then we'd sit back and smile as the production staff collectively s*** their pants. This whole USA vs Japan thing sounds really lame to me. It sounds like they're going to make it some big WWE style drama where they come out of the crowd, and Iseman pretends to be shocked like no one knew they were even here. Then they issue a scripted challenge to see who's really better blah blah. They should have just let them run with everyone else in the main show. We have European and maybe a few Canadian competitors in ANW so what's it matter if they are from Japan? We always worked our way into Sasuke, so they should be able to represent in ANW if they want too.

Ah yes I keep forgetting that ANW is only like Sasuke in regards to the obstacles themselves. I forgot they are slowly going the way of scripted sports entertainment like the WWE after last year's debacle. Silly me for preferring they stick to the original model that attracted most of their fans to begin with. If they didn't get their American champion this year I'm sure they will fabricate one next year. We can't have there being 3 Sasuke champions and none are American, we must show the world we can do it too!

Yea I was thinking of that. Since it is basically Sasuke 27..Then Yuuji atleast has this down which then might look bad for the show as they constantly say no American has beats the course. So I dont know how they will handle it ?

They were absolute Rock Stars! I was starstruck, lol. Instead of watching our Ninja's running I was facing the wrong way just staring at them. Ha ha. Totally worth it. I can watch it on TV later

They put them in the "general public seating" at first and TONS of people started to gasp and recognize them and telling others who they were, people started to try to shake their hands and take pictures, so they took them and ran away

Oh by the way, do any of you know who "Hashimoto" (or Hajimoto) is? They kept telling me I looked like one of the Japanese competitors by that name.

Spoiler From what I understand no one really knew how the rules worked.. so it was kind of a fuster cluck.. Either way the overall end was that they tallied points during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages (3 vs. 3 in each stage) and by the time they tallied the total at the end USA won against Japan. They didn't use the final at all since the final apparently was only going to be used as a tie breaker.

>Ninja Warrior >Points wut...
That makes no sense... and what a surprise, home team won in a game no one understood the rules of. I'd guess points were based on obstacles cleared and then a bonus for time remaining but if it was confusing that can't be right, not to mention stage 3 having no time (Assuming Japan got that round if Yuuji, Ryo and Kanno were the reps (although really due to obstacles picked they were the probably the best reps anyways... Asa might have trouble on the Warped Wall that's a foot higher than the (usable part of the) Soritatsu Kabe and Shingo's new enemy the Spin Bridge, not to mention a harder version of his old foe the Balance Tank)
