Upon finding out that's what sunday's recording is I think I understand what this thing about them running with the best 5 americans, ANW5 runs as usual last night and tonight (considering we know Stage 1 already was recorded as of this post), the top 5 competitors are determined by result (like lets use last year for example, top 3 would be brent s, derek n and paul k) and then it ends up being like the Singapore vs Malaysia episode of Sasuke Singapore.

So let me run through this to see if I'm understanding this right, it's a field of 90 (95 if counting japan stars as part of ANW's field), 85 ran stage 1 last night and are running stages 2 and beyond (if reached), and top 5 americans as picked by nbc/esquire and the shin sedai/new generation (+shingo) go Sasuke style (I.E all reached stages in one day) tomorrow night?

I hope that they get shown, even as a special episode, even if they are doing the vs angle thing and delays the top 5 anw guys.
So wish I could have gone but sadly not possible this year, but I'm hoping they'll be back next year when I compete at Midoriyama (hey... no one complain about such optimism... to be fair I did better than plenty of competitors on the unfixed versions of the obstacles (and one fail that would have been a clear on the final version) )
Yeah.. won't be until tomorrow though. I'm still furious that no one else knows they are there and they won't be prominently shown in the ANW broadcast of the finals like they did with Nagano last year.
Apparently it's supposed to be a huge secret and apparently they are getting in trouble for a rumor they never started. What infuriates me is how they are being blamed for being there and people recognizing them when NBC didn't want anyone to know. WTF.. how are their handlers responsible for a rumor that started before they even left Japan? It's not their fault people recognized them when they arrived. And yes it seems it was supposed to be a huge reveal tomorrow. Last year was different.. Nagano was featured prominently in the broadcast cheering on the competitors during ANW4. NBC is trying to make it look like they didn't come for this event at all.. makes no sense.. worse that they are treated in the way they are now. Like criminals.
Well Shingo sticks out like a sore thumb even if the others are still not quite on a first name basis. Yuuji is finally getting popular especially the more people see the Sasuke 27 win which G4 still has on air. Those who aren't part of the "Sasuke" community wouldn't know Asa much but they should be getting used to Ryo and Kanno by now. Still though.. Shingo is unmistakeably recognizable. Dude's been in every tourney. I'm just annoyed that they get in trouble for standing there. Hopefully tomorrow pics will become available publicly as they will be running.
Why they heck are they even getting in trouble in the first place? They should know there are no such things as "secrets". You get fans that know every minute detail of what their celebrity is doing all the time.
You get those guys to go to a place where are bunch of their fans are congregating, of course they are going to be recognized. It's just idiotic to think otherwise.
