Just saying... happy that the steps are gone Also interesting... if the Hedgehog is what we saw when Inui mentioned something he was working on for ANW, what does he have in store for vegas, unless this obstacle is premiering worldwide together (sorta)

Possibly overlooked in the trailer but yes, red mats are now confirmed.

If there are four more obstacle for the stage, then I'm assuming Stage 1 for 29 is
1. Long Jump 2. Log Grip 3. Hedgehog 4. Jump Hang Kai 5. Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe 6. Tarzan Jump 7. Rope Ladder

You really think they didn't push the SB back after the WW?

He mentioned a surprise regarding ANW, that he couldn't say more on twitter, and that an announcement would follow. He then posted the picture for arsenette a few minutes later as a separate conversation and referred to it as an exclusive of that day's testing. He never said the picture was related to ANW, but I think the connection was assumed by others due to the timing. Seeing the Hedgehog I believe that picture was not related to ANW at all, and that the announcement was either the mobile game or something still to come. My personal hope is that they announce one or more people coming over for the ANW taping, and maybe even run the course similar to how we've ran theirs in the past. I guess we'll find out for sure in a week

That could be the case, I dunno really... my brain is all f**ked without my pc lol You really think they didn't push the SB back after the WW? It's confirmed, one of the pics in the pictures thread shows the end of the course, which is the Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe, Tarzan Rope and Rope Ladder, and the Jump Hang Kai was confirmed by the commercial. so essentially at this point we know everything on the course aside from the Unstable Bridge spot which is unlikely to change, the actual Rumbling Dice hasn't been seen but the supports are there and pretty much nothing else needs those thick supports and barriers on them, not to mention the rest of stage 3 is identical to RISING

so every obstacle in S2 is the same (CS, SSL, UB, SW, BS, PW) and is the same in S3 (RD, IP, CCH, CC, VL, PS)?

We had like 6 tweets in a row within a minute of each other talking about the surprise and me asking him if it was for ASEAN or Sasuke and he said ANW. Then within a minute he sent me that photo saying that it was a testing shot of an obstacle that was discussed in that morning's meeting (with the ANW representatives). So that's why the connection was made. We'll see if the hedgehog ends up in ANW LOL Either way it looks way different than in that photo so nothing like being trolled by Inui Showed me just enough to peek interest without spoiling what it was.. ahahahha Edit: Just remembered when going through the photos on that article Ube posted with the pictures.. so.. the long jump into sand.. that's first obstacle? So we have water drenching everyone in the 2nd stage and sand getting in people's shoes before the hedgehog in the 1st? LOL I'm expecting sharks with lasers in the 3rd

At least they're not being total a*****es and having the jump into stand and THEN have steps (which even if grip is not an issue WILL f*** with your head...)

LOL though I do commend them for changing things up. One thing I loved about early Sasuke is that they always changed things enough to mess with people's heads. Later Sasuke was just the same that people memorized the course and practiced that instead. While I may think the dry dirt/sand getting everywhere on the course (especially those who make love to the Sasuke Spray...) it's something completely different. I'm sure people will freak out when they see it but I'm giving them kudos for trying. I know they changed the course because of the ASEAN Open Cup implications but still.. I hope they continue changing it up. Vets are used to this sort of thing but the newer guys need to learn to adjust to changing conditions... not just repeat their obstacle course training.

I agree completely, besides seeing some good change, the skills the obstacles bring are what matter, not doing the obstacle to a science... I really shouldn't say this but I've seen first hand a ton of competitors (some with obstacle replicas or have used them) going out on a new obstacle, one that honestly wasn't difficult (and I know first hand), but such a simple obstacle shouldn't take out more competitors than anything else on the course

Well if you jump onto that dirt patch and get your hands all muddy and dirty and then try to do that log grip you may fail.
But now looking at the 1st stage, I think we can see a really high amount of clears. Not much to take out a serious competitor and the time limit has been lenient lately...

I wouldn't speak too soon about that. We havent seen - how difficult that hedgehog is - if they messed with the distance of the jump hang kai - the time limit

I think it's much too early to determine the difficulty of the first stage. For example, after enough splashdowns on the Long Jump, it's possible the track right before the jump will get soaked causing big slips. And we don't know how hard the spines on the Porcupine are or exactly how fast it rotates.
I'm slightly more optimistic that we'll see more clears, but not by much.

Well we can surmise 3 definite clears based on the stage 2 people we saw (2 fails and one person swimming). I'm okay with that honestly LOL
