Swimmer Tomoko Hagiwara (81) REALLY??? Looks like the bibs are having the dark red "SASUKE RISING" banners again! I expected something like "SASUKE 2013" (Was in Trials w/Yellow Banners)!

Maybe because the show is being called SASUKE RISING? At least one printed source used that name and the start line is still using the SASUKE RISING logo.
Also, please keep non-competitor comments to a minimum.

I changed the name to NO DISCUSSION. Mods, can we please honor that?

So far, these are only based on what people have said either publicly or to people here (or to people who know people here). If we're fortunate, TBS will put up a list of the 100 competitors like they did for Rising but that will be on their timetable, not ours.

Lee En Zhi posted on Facebook that's he's in Tokyo, so it's a safe bet that he competed.

Lee En Zhi posted on Facebook that's he's in Tokyo, so it's a safe bet that he competed. Interesting, considering we thought no foreigners would be in this SASUKE. Since it's conflicting reports I'm going to hold off putting it in the list, but definitely thank you for the update! EDIT: Per Ube's link, it appears both Kinnikun Nakayama and Hiromichi Sato's brother competed. I'll just post the text here in case someone with Japanese reading skills can decipher it better than Google can.

His nickname is Hiromichi-niisan (Big Brother Hiromichi) from the NHK program he was once the host of.

I don't know who number 64 (the person shown at the start line) is. The blog references him as タコさん Tako-san but that may just be a nickname. He may be another member of PADMA, Tomoyuki's performance group. Also, probably Daisuke Morikami with 57 and Tomoyuki with 46 although I'm iffy on the second one (since 57 is on a mountain bike). Note to SASUKE sleuths: Photos of people at the competition are not necessarily photos of competitors. Forgot to add the link: ameblo.jp/misaki-0205/entry-11544264297.htmlAlso, 64 is probably Takayuki Kawashima.
