Thanks, arsenette.
That's pretty much the only thing that really matters to me.

This thread was only for ANW5 that was taped Friday night and Saturday. All the bonus stuff with the Top 5 going up against Japan is in the other thread. I just updated that one. Going to see if I get more posted on that. (and this one as well if I can)

Believe it or not, I was actually there, but pissed off with the production team because we had to wait like FIVE hours to watch the guys run the course! (They spent WAY too much time taking in people and making them wait in a dry place, until it's COMPELETELY dark, with too MANY tests, AND where dust flies into their eyes!) At once, I was VERY excited about USA vs Japan, trying to secretly yell "GAMBATTE!" to team Japan! If you know the results of the USA vs Japan (NOT the actual ANW5 final), PLEASE tell me how far each competitor got. I'm sorry if you feel like this post belongs in the Japanese stars visit ANW5 thread!
P.S. This is just MY personal opinion! PLEASE don't try to tell me that this is wrong!

There's one definite I can say about it though. Spoiler Nobody got to the final Part of me is disappointed that no one made it, but at the same time I'm glad that I can be the first *cough*since Kane*cough*

I'm double posting this in this thread and in the Japan thread.
1st and foremost. I will personally report you if you start to pester people who had 1st hand knowledge or had people share that knowledge (including myself) for harassment. This goes for all the new guys who seem to forget what courtesy is. There is a strict NDA that if it goes back to where it came from there's consequences for that person who actually took the time to put themself at risk for YOUR curiosity. If you can't handle the information that's on this board and feel you are entitled to more then you need a vacation from this board. PERIOD. I'm hearing reports that multiple people are getting PMS.. KNOCK IT OFF.
2nd... Keep the information separate. Japan on the other thread and ANW5 on this one. It's really simple but people are insisting on mixing them.

K most of the information I got was from Day 3 (which is the Japan vs USA match). I only have pieces of what happened the previous 2 nights. If anyone who was there sees anything I wrote that was incorrect please send me a message PRIVATELY and I'll amend it. (This is only those who can legitimately correct me on this.. not people fishing for more information.. who don't want their cover blown). Obviously all of this is spoilers. Spoiler Going backwards from information on the Japan/USA match. The top 8 were as follows for the USA (since they went with the top 5 + 3 alternates (going by order of who made it to the 3rd stage the previous night) Paul Kasemir, Brent Steffensen, A new guy named Brian Arnold, James McGrath and Travis Rosen. Alts were David Campbell, Young Flip Rodriguez and (I think) Drew Dreschel (don't quote me on that last one though)
No one completed stage 3 but the new comer Brian Arnold came the closest. There are a couple of course alterations/tweaks that annoyed a few people. There was a power outage during a run and there was a do-over of stage 3 and as a result of the do-over he got the farthest (because part of the cliffhanger ledge sorta fell off (while he was on it...) and we had to wait while the screwed it back on! Lol!) Brian got to last Obstacle on 3rd stage. Pipe jumper? The person was not sure of the name though I think they meant to say flying bar. The bar missed the FINAL catch and dropped into the water. No one cleared Stage 3 so obviously no one got to the Final. Stage 2 seemed to be ridiculously easy by comparison to last year. Most died on the "spider jump" this year. The fact that chalk was not allowed caused some (obvious) frustrations for stage 3 results. Sticky spray was the only thing allowed.

BRIAN ARNOLD!?!?!?! That's awesome!!! I would have never guessed he would go the furthest. For those that don't know, he made it to the Balance Tank last year.

Who is this Brian Arnold guy? And where is he from? Haven't been here in over a year so if i missed a lot of information of my part, my mistake.

I don't have the picture anymore, but Brian Arnold might have been the guy where the 1st stage buzzer popped out of its holder after he hit it in ANW4. Maybe lightning does strike twice.
There's something about endings like Nagano's from SASUKE 12, or Yuko Mizuno's from KUNOICHI 3, that get to me.

Brian Arnold is from Denver. Word is he's a veteran rockclimber who's been climbing for 25 years. Knowing that it's not surprising he's able to do most of Stage 3 with relative ease.

I'm not sure which is odder, them talking about the JS and use a pic of Asa on the steps or talking about the Final Stage when showing the Metal Spin in an exhibition run lol
