From Shingo's Facebook: サスケ予選の準備をしますか!!allstarsの名と皆勤賞に懸けて、やってやるぜ!!皆さん応援よろしく!(^^)!
Do you want to prepare for qualifying Sasuke! ! at the risk of the perfect attendance award and the name of the allstars, I'll do it! ! Cheer everyone! (^ ^)! I'm pretty sure he's saying he is trying out. However, just to be sure, Ube, where are you

Actually that's what it sounds like. Quite frankly I'm biased and I want them back as it is.. however if that's how it works for everyone now then I'm okay with it. I'm also more okay with the fact that he's ALLOWED to try again and he WANTS to come back again. That's great news no matter what happens from here on out. The fire is lit inside of them and they will fight hard to make it back. I'm so happy! Now.. already calling dibs on crying if any of the All-stars try out and fail.. just sayin'..

I'm hoping that things work out for everyone. I kind of see it going like this: They can still repeat, it's just that the title of the All Stars was retired. That way fan favorites can still compete and it won't make TBS look bad by going back on what they already said

Shingo has had that golf club cover for a while now. I've seen pictures of it before. He's been REALLY into golf for the past couple of years.
Oh, and a little off-topic, but I asked Shingo on Facebook earlier, and he said that he is planning to participate in the Maguro Festival this year. From some of Shingo's and Takeda's posts, I think Takeda will participate, too. And Nagano always does. So that's three All-Stars who'll be in the Maguro Festival.

Got an answer (in bablefish disaster form since he does it on his end) from Inui regarding the All-stars.
I asked him to clarify however I think he's saying they are getting an invitation without having to go through trials. If so I'm so friggin' happy! I'll keep you posted if he writes more about it or says something otherwise than what I extrapolated from this message.

Well, that's good news. But I don't think Shingo knows about that yet. I was chatting with him on Facebook a few minutes ago, and he said he's nervous for the Sasuke Trials. I guess Inui hasn't told him yet that he doesn't have to go through the Trials.

I guess Inui hasn't told him yet that he doesn't have to go through the Trials. Provided the information Inui translated back to me was correct that is.. LOL So did he mention if he is going to Maguro Festival? Because that affects all the other All-stars as well. Are they just .. going and take their chances? or did that screw everything up for Nagano? That's my concern. Feel free to ask Inui as well as you have his Facebook account (since I know you don't have twitter) to clarify the status of the All-stars. That way we can have that in writing so the guys can properly plan for their event that same weekend.

I asked Shingo if he's still planning to go to the Maguro Festival, and he said yes. I just asked him if he's going to do both the Sasuke Trials and the Maguro Festival. I'm waiting for a response. Considering the hours Shingo keeps, he's probably still awake, LOL.
EDIT: That was fast! Shingo said yes, he's doing both events. That's going to be a busy weekend for him!

Hmm.. so unless Inui's information was actually correct and he hasn't told Shingo.. seems Shingo is going to request to do trials on Saturday.. fly out that night to Kagoshima then do Maguro Festival on Sunday and Monday. LOL That's dedication! If that doesn't prove he WANTS to come back then nothing will Hopefully what I "think" Inui said was that they don't have to do trials is correct and he tells them. LOL Going to see if Inui clarifies his statement... he's usualy up at this time as well. ahahahah

Yup. I hope that Inui just lets the All-Stars compete without going through Trials, even if Shingo is willing to do the Trials and then go straight to the Maguro Festival. But at least the All-Stars are even being allowed to try out! Shingo plans to compete, and so do Nagano and Takeda. Yamada said he'd come back if he's allowed to. So that's 4 of the 6. Akiyama is always a wild card. And Bunpei...well, I'd love to see him compete again, but if he's still having problems with his back and knee, I don't want him to injure himself further. But even if he can't compete, it would be nice if he came to watch and cheer for the other All-Stars like he did in Sasuke 24.

Btw has Shingo mentioned who else will be doing the dual trip out of the All-Stars?

Assuming Inui's message is correct, that'd be kinda awkward for Shingo. Going to the trials and then being turned away since he already has a spot (I'm sure it's not as much of a "turned away" kinda thing, I'm sure he'd probably get a chance to be a spectator and have kind of a demonstration run thingy (Like at 27))

Shingo hasn't said if any other All-Stars are planning to do both events. If Inui is planning to exempt the All-Stars from the Trials, I would imagine that he'll let them know about that before then. Also, Shingo didn't say he got a spot in the Trials, just that he sent in his application.

Agreed. Inui has yet to do the call backs. Application closes on the 19th.

Shingo just posted something up on facebook stating that he checked his smartphone and got an e-mail saying he has been picked to be in Sasuke 29! It's kind of funny that Inui's twitter thing already said he was going, but Shingo apparently had no idea until he received the official e-mail.

Yeah, I saw that, too. It's funny. We knew Shingo was going to Sasuke 29 before he did, LOL.

I'm happy for Shingo. Hopefully the Spinning Balls curse gets broken the third time around.
