Much respect to the testers for getting the course ready for everyone. And thanks to chris for getting footage. And to the Miami ninja, shame on you for getting no sideline tester footage

I'll be very interested to hear the reports on this course. On the surface the opening round looks very easy. But the reality is that the course usually looks easy at first from the sideline (or couch), and there is usually a big wrinkle on an obstacle or two that makes them a lot more difficult, and not as easy as they look at first. I'm curious where those wrinkles are on this course.
Would really like to try that Delta Bridge!

and even sometimes things end up being more difficult than they actually are. certain obstacles can end up taking out way more people than someone who did it would think (not calling out anyone who did go out on any of those)

The course looks different in person (tv adds five pounds I guess). Thought this was funny. Attachment Deleted

I think they're just not fully set up yet, they fixed "merican Ninja Warrior", why they set the signs up without one letter is beyond me... lol

Is that confirmed or speculation based on the course? With the course setup I find it believable but then again I though over 30 would clear in baltimore based on the course

Considering how ridiculously easy the semi-finals course is, I'm estimating ~40 clears tonight =\

I thought it was top 30 though, but I could see a 30/30 ratio with this easy course, only threatening obstacles are the steps, warped wall (actuall I dunno how threatening it really is, seems easy if you know what to do but I've not done one) and to a lesser degree salmon ladder

They take the top 30 from qualifiers to advance to the semi-finals, and then they take the top 15 from semi-finals to advance to Vegas. However if "you clear it, you advance" is true, then that means they will have to take however many clear the course (even if it is well over 15) on to Vegas. I'm assuming the warped wall won't be a problem for them since 50 already conquered it. I guess you're right about the salmon ladder though, I have seen a few fails on it. The last 3 obstacles though? I'm guessing only 2 people will fail

If 50 people cleared the qualifying I'm guessing at least half of those people will get wiped out by the Salmon Ladder, just my guess.

Some maniacs will report here more when they get home. 50ish clears for the night. More fails on steps & warped wall than Baltimore region. Don't have many names. Chris O. failed delta bridge. Chris C. failed warped wall. 2 girls got to 5th obstacle, 1 got to ww. This is 2nd hand from someone thechibisan course that was a Baltimore competitor.
