Has anyone read any good manga lately, I'm not talking about things like Naruto and Bleach, but, like, virtually unknown manga? I just read Alive: The Final Evolution.

I've been reading Hikaru no Go all the way through and its inspired me to try to learn Go.
Other than that, nothing really out of the ordinary. I keep reading Naruto and One Piece, but I've also been reading Claymore, Kurohime, and Hoshin Engi every now and then. I'm thinking about getting Gantz as it comes out, but the store where I get my stuff doesn't have volume one and I'd rather get them in order.

Dark Horse comics pitched a s*** fit when they acquired Gantz. You can't get it online without doing the full download anymore because they went on a G4-like crusade firebombing anyone who had it posted in full view. So that can't be done for me (I'd rather not download). But OneManga's good enough for pretty much anything else.

OneManga is where I get all of my manga. Maybe Dark Horse is just like everything else, following the law of entropy.

I think it's called veridas, verditas... ionno, but it's good.
Guyver isn't that well known, it's good.
And Chief, why can't you buy manga? It's not any different than buying a book, cept it has pictures... your parents make no sense. They must think it's all hentai.

When my sister first went off to college, her roommate was big on manga and anime. Then the roommate explained what hentai was. Fast forward a few years and I announce to my parents that I'll be subscribing to Shonen Jump (I like reading official translations and reading the previews is what introduced me to Claymore and Rosario+Vampire). My mom immediately turns around and says "Is that that porn stuff, Hentai?"

I asked my parents if I could subscribe, and I immediately got turned down. My mom doesn't like me reading "Japanese stuff." Occasionally, they'll let me get Shonen Jump, but very rarely.

Not like Western stuff is that much better.
I appreciate your parents' concern, and they should be concerned, but the reason you say they give doesn't pass the sniff test.

Like I said, were tight on funding, my sister's in college, my brother just got married, and my mom is looking for a new job. And, while some Western animated TV shows and comics are good, the majority are bad or for kids under the Shonen age group.

10-15 or 16. Most Western manga are aimed to 6-10 year olds.

Damn, I got stacks of Shonen Jump I need to catch up on. Had a subscription for quite a few years but haven't read one in a while, mostly been getting it to get the Yu-Gi-Oh cards (hell, made a new Machine deck when I saw Chimeratech Fortress Dragon finally came out, been waiting for that since my old machine deck). Although the strategies in there are common sense. Although I did get one of my strategies published (with no credit what so ever....). When the Power of the Duelist Sneak Preview happened I did a combo where I had Fossil Excavation on the field and discarded Ultimate Tyranno to get out Ultimate Tyranno, I later asked and after a while the judges found out that I could do that and a month or so later I saw that combo mentioned.

I don't have a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck, but, after looking at those two cards, I pity the person you were playing. That must've really sucked for them.....

Is that satellite canonn real or made with that stupid generator thing?
It's relatively gay, and by gay I mean cheap.

Yeah, I remember the anime using Satellite Cannon. I used to have a Zombie-Warrior-Dragon deck. Yeah, no real theme there.
