Reading obakemono's recent thread, I was inspired to ask you all what you think each All-Star's number is going to be in this tournament. You can base it on the recent performances, of course. Here, I'm just going with my gut.
#66 - Shingo Yamamoto #74 - Kazuhiko Akiyama #78 - Bunpei Shiratori #97 - Katsumi Yamada #99 - Toshihiro Takeda #100 - Makoto Nagano (though I think we all knew that).
IMO, Shingo's number will keep getting lower until he clears Stage 1 again. As for Bunpei, I never seem to know with his numbers, since they could be anything. And Akiyama, I figure that's a decent enough number that might still see sunlight - not sure what the daylight situation will be, but who knows.

#71 - Shingo Yamamoto (always gets a number ending in 1) #83 - Bunpei Shiratori (I thought this was his signature number, but apparently not. I'll go with it anyway) #94 - Katsumi Yamada (I just had to fit him into my top 10) #95 - Kazuhiko Akiyama (his big return) #99 - Toshihiro Takeda (in all likelihood) #100 - Makoto Nagano (obviously)

#83 - Bunpei Shiratori (I thought this was his signature number, but apparently not. I'll go with it anyway) Oh? 21 is the only time I've ever seen him wear it. The last time he was selected to be in the top 10 was Sasuke 16 (when he wore #96; I'm not counting Sasuke 18 since he chose #95 himself), then I've seen him as #81 and #82. Maybe he'll stick with the '80s thing though that wasn't on my mind when I wrote the list. And good point about Shingo, didn't think of that.

Bah.. I can't come up with numbers.. but can I do orders? (60's?) Akiyama (I think he will request to get in as early as possible) (70's) Shingo (he always wants early too..) (guessing maybe 91?) Yamada (guessing maybe 94?) Shiratori (based on getting to Stage 2) 99 Takeda (Based on getting to Stage 3) 100 Nagano (do I even have to say it? )

100 Nagano (do I even have to say it? ) lol, does anyone? Only time we wouldn't see Nagano as #100 these days is if they had another race (a la pre-18) - or if Yamada said he'd retire....again (like he did in 17). In which case Yamada would be the precious #100.

#83 - Bunpei Shiratori (I thought this was his signature number, but apparently not. I'll go with it anyway) Oh? 21 is the only time I've ever seen him wear it. That's why I said 'apparently not', lol. I'd thought all his 80's numbers had been the same.

71. Kazuhiko Akiyama (gotta help the man's eyes) 81. Shingo Yamamoto (boost after 21 mishap) 92. Bunpei Shiratori (skateboarder extroadinaire gets a nine point two from the Japanese judge) 97. Katsumi Yamada (Mr. Sasuke gets his (semi)glorious spot) 99. Toshihiro Takeda (guy's never worn higher than 98. That changes) 100. Makoto Nagano (c'mon. Really. He's 100 for life. Even a stage 4 clear from someone else wouldn't dislodge him. And the 100 spot gets all the air time; they have to cram in his wedding footage somehow.)

45: Akiyama Kazuhiko. Put early so guarantee it's day during his run. 74: Yamamoto Shingo 89: Shiratori Bunpei 92: Yamada Katsumi (Because TBS always puts him in the 90s for some reason....) 99: Takeda Toshihiro 100: Can it be anyone else but Nagano Makoto?

Shingo: 71 This is generally an all-star number. If hes doing bad and his name isnt katsumi, he'll get 71
Akiyama: 75 should have good lighting, also want near another allstar for good TV
Bunpei: 87 high 80s since he got to stage 2 but not to the salmon ladder
Yamada: 95 hes Mr. Sasuke, hes in the 90s or 100 garenteed
Takeda: 99 this should be self explainitory?
Nagano: 100... if you want an explaination hit ur head on a pile of bricks until common snese comes to you

#1 - Kazuhiko Akiyama (Because they will start the tournament with he glorious return!..... Again!) #60 - Shingo Yamamoto (Because they can.) #90 - Bunpei Shiratori (Because he passed the first stage last time.) #92 - Katsumi Yamada (Because it says in his contract that he shall never be given a number under 90, unless everybody has to run for it.) #99 - Toshihiro Takeda (Because he's going to reach the final stage this time around.) #100 - Makoto Nagano (Because he's Nagano. That's why.)

Well, from pictures posted on G4 by a Mr. David Campbell, we've found one All-Star's number....Shingo Yamamoto, number #31? 31? Seriously? That's freaking crazy.
And too bad we gotta scratch Bunpei from the tournament. I was seriously hoping to see all 6 back together again.

I didn't get to see the Navi. Wow, I didn't figure Yamada would go below #90, either.
Nagano though? Heh, yeah, a blind bat could see that coming too. ;D
