is SASUKE 28 giving the same vibe as KUNOICHI 8? SASUKE comes back from the dead and tries a bunch of stuff never dared to be tried before (swimming, two Warped Walls) since they have a feeling it's never coming back? This is almost exactly what happened in KUNOICHI 8 and it turned out to be a disaster. I'm worried about the future of SASUKE.

That swimming obstacle does leave me with a somewhat bad feeling.
But I doubt it.

Doesn't feel like that to me... K8 was a complete concept overhaul... Sasuke Rising appears to be a Sasuke, just because it's using new ideas doesn't mean it's something completely different with a similar aspect trying to ride on the name...
The two Soritatsu Kabe doesn't bug me... They almost did it for Sasuke 18, and we don't even know if the two are exactly the same... One may be taller than the other... one may even be the Great Wall for all we know... And it's not like it's completely unheard of... we've come close before... When we had the Neshireta Kabe it was almost like there were two (sure some can argue the Neshireta Kabe is more like a father to the HPA than a sibling of the Soritatsu Kabe but they were still similar enough IMO).
As for the swimming obstacle... everyone is blowing it out of proportion... It's the only obstacle that has legal water... if you even dip a toe in any other water pit you're still out... Viking had a similar obstacle in one of the family tournaments... And that was the only obstacle with legal water... any other touch was still a DQ... I don't see why everyone is blowing this out of proportion... This show has been going since 1997... In 15 years you kinda have to try something new once... or else things would get stale...

I couldn't call adding an additional Wall and an obstacle where you could swim drastic. Not drastic in the K8 sense. Personally, I love the idea of the tank, the dramatic angles you could get from that (as shown in the Rising trailer) would make it worth it alone.

Sasuke 18 feels like it's the last tournament... The course is completely different, and they almost put two warped walls in, and then they didn't even do it... they put some crappy ripoff with a rope... Sasuke is over... there's no way there can be 10 tournaments after this And Nova, Sorry for stealing your bit

The problem with K8 wasn't the fact that they made serious changes, it's that one of those changes was just a chaotic mess (4 contestants running at the same time), and the other went against the entire spirit of Kunoichi (a "second chance" round).
These changes, while definitely noticeable, don't completely change Sasuke so as to be unrecognizable. K8 was more reminiscent of Wipeout than Kunoichi.

I'd also point out the "Flying Roll" Stage 3... But we don't speak of that...

There was never a stage 3 that consisted entirely of a high jump with a trampoline that 3 people were guaranteed to pass, ensuring that exactly 3 people would make it to the final stage. What are you talking about?
