We thought it wouldn’t come, but Sasuke has risen from the ashes and Sasuke 28 is now upon us. That means it’s time for Sasuke Guessing Game VIII: Rebirth! Once again, the slate has been wiped clean as everybody will be trying to guess the results of the upcoming tournament. And this time, there’s a prize. For those who don’t know the rules are simple; all you have to do is guess how many people will pass each stage. Then, you have to assign a number to each person in the list below based on how far you believe they will go. Every number represents every obstacle in order of appearance (note: the Tarzan Swing and the Net Climb are considered one obstacle). So for each stage, the obstacle numbering (based on the Sasuke 27 course) will go as follows: Stage One: 1 - 8 Stage Two: 9 – 14 Stage Three: 15 – 22 Final Stage: 23 Total Victory: 24 The following are acceptable formats for guessing an obstacle: -10 -Jumping Spider -Step Slider (1) -Obstacle 5 -Stage Two, Obstacle One -Total Victory / Kanzenseiha -Anything that specifically explains where you think they are going to fail The scoring is as follows: -For every instance you guess a stage/competitor correctly, you will earn 10 points. -For every instance you miss a stage/competitor by one (high or low), you will earn 5 points. -For every instance you miss a stage/competitor by two (high or low), you will earn 2 points. -If no one is within two (high or low) for a stage/competitor, the person(s) who is the closest (high or low) will earn 1 point. -Saying “will not compete” will earn you 0 points and will be counted as guessing obstacle #100. Additional rules: -Please do not put your entry in spoiler tags. Bad things have happened in the past. -Progress points are based on where a person falls/times out on the course -Any information not shown on the TBS broadcast does not count. -Fast forward segments do count, provided it shows where the competitor failed. -If a person fails during a transition segment, the obstacle he/she was approaching will count as where they failed, provided they completely cleared the prior obstacle. -The landing pad and small bridge right after the landing pad are considered part of the Half Pipe Attack. -If any answers are revealed before the broadcast, regardless of the source, that category is null and void. -The list is based on who is/could be competing. -If you don’t know who a person is, look them up. We have a wikia page for that.-If you choose an obstacle that is no longer on the course, your pick will be changed to the number that obstacle was in Sasuke 27. - Entries are due December 26th at 11:59.59 pm EDT. (Date may change) -You may change your entry as many times as you want before the due date. -Changing your entry after the show WILL NOT WORK. -If you competed in Sasuke 28, you’re not allowed to enter. Sorry. -If there is a tie, the winner will be based on who’s the closest overall in all the categories. -Have fun. Past Champions: Guessing Game I: Badalight Guessing Game II: srw Guessing Game III: Badalight Guessing Game IV: jfeathe Guessing Game V: sconi1217 Guessing Game VI: Badalight Guessing Game VII: mikessssssss Full past results can be seen on the official Guessing Game results guide. (You are free to change the charts so that the names listed reflect your current username if you have changed your username in the past) IMPORTANT IMFORMATION REGARDING SPOILERS! MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS!!I am aware that some people look up spoilers before Sasuke airs. I am not one of those people. If you do know spoilers, I must ask that you don’t post any spoilers in the forums, even in spoiler tag form. After Sasuke airs, I’ll look to see what results were spoiled, and decide what choices should be nullified. I appreciate your cooperation. Prizes! That’s right; there are prizes this time around. Whoever wins Sasuke Guessing Game VIII will win a code for Retro City Rampage on either Steam or Good Old Games (their choice). In addition, the unredeemed Retro City Rampage code will be given to a random loser (except for me). If by some unlikely chance I win the Guessing Game, both codes will be awarded randomly. Want to take a shot and possibly become a winner? Then enter the guessing game and try to win! Copy/Paste the list below and put your guesses next to all the items below! Entry list: - First Stage: - Second Stage: - Third Stage: - Final Stage: - Akira Omori: - Bunpei Shiratori: - Daisuke Miyazaki: - Daisuke Morikami: - Daisuke Nakata: - Hiromichi Satō: - Hiromitsu Takahashi: - Hitoshi Kanno: - Jordan Jochev: - Jun Satō: - Katsuhide Torisawa: - Katsumi Yamada: - Kazuhiko Akiyama: - Kazuma Asa: - Kenji Takahashi: - Kenjirō Ishimaru: - Kinnikun Nakayama: - Kouji Hashimoto: - Koriki Chōshū: - Kōta Honma: - Li En Zhi: - Makoto Nagano: - Masaki Nomura: - Masami Harashima: - Minoru Kuramochi: - Naoki Iketani: - Naoya Tajima: - Paul Anthony Terek: - Rie Komiya: - Ryo Matachi: - Ryouma Katō: - Shingo Yamamoto: - Shinji Kobayashi: - Takuya Kawahara: - Terukazu Ishikawa: - Tomohiro Kawaguchi: - Toshihiro Takeda: - Yasuo Aoki: - Yoshiyuki Okuyama: - Yousuke Kaneko: - Yukio Iketani: - Yūji Washimi: - Yuuji Urushihara: - Wakky:

And what about if you say someone fails an obstacle but it's not where you thought it was? (TBH I'm still wondering how it was scored in the 27 game when I said Okuyama would fail the Flying Bar but mentioned where the Flying Bar was before lol )

If you specifically state the obstacle's name (ex: Spinning Bridge), your guess will be obstacle #3(?) rather than obstacle #7. If you just say obstacle #7, your guess will always be obstacle number 7. If you write the obstacle's name, it doesn't matter if you include the number.

So in essence, I got f***ed over by putting 18 UCH last year when UCH was 17?
Also, thanks for, if nothing else, realizing Americans weren't invited. Although, I would recommend moving back the deadline until we have more details of the course. This wouldn't be such an issue had it not been a complete course renewal.

As we approach the deadline, I'll decide if moving the due date back will be necessary. That said, I won't push the deadline to after the Navi.

He just said if you say the obstacle name, mentioning it takes priority over where it is even if you list it... So saying that it was the Ultimate Cliffhanger counts it as Ultimate Cliffhanger even if it moved from s3ob4 to s3ob3

I don't mean to sound rude here, but did you get a chance yet to address the 2 problems I asked about?

2 questions: 1.) What if the number of obstacles changes in some of the stages? 2.) How does it work if a competitor's full result isn't shown until the broadcast, but it's shown that he/she gets to at least a certain obstacle (i.e. if a commercial clearly shows such-and-such competitor we know attempting/clearing, but not failing, such-and-such obstacle)? 1.) This actually has happened before. The number for your guesses will be changed based on what they wrote. There's nothing else I can do about it. Everyone gets affected by it. 2.) It'll be on a case-by-case basis. In other words, I'll decide after Sasuke airs.

Yam, even if you know someone isn't competing, you should still put down a guess where they would fail.

My guesses will be below in spoiler tags due to length. NONONONO. Do not use spoilers tags! Last time someone used spoiler tags, I accidentally skipped them. Please don't use spoiler tags. Also, you really should enter a guess for everyone just for fun.

THIS WILL LIKELY BE EDITED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE THE DEADLINE.
EDIT (12/13): And here come the strikethroughs... **Note that this is nothing against 2D2Will. If anything blame Inui for having such a wonky competitor list
EDIT #2 (12/13): And strikethroughs would be spoilers. Ugh...
EDIT #3 (12/22): Thanks for the deadline extension. Now I can actually comprehend the obstacles.
EDIT #4 (12/26): Final picks submitted at 8:30. Thanks again Will for the competition.

Wait why are people pasting the list without their predictions?
And since it's a course renewal, wouldn't it be more fair to just list the stages you think the competitors will go out in?
Besides my curiousity, I'll probably do this tomorrow.
