Tough luck for SASUKE. Why does SASUKE get caught in low rated TV station? Is there a conspiracy or something? Does TBS really care about SASUKE anymore? If they do, then why "share" the show to the low rated TV station? On the other hand, SASUKE is a very "niche" show (no offense to anyone in this forum) and niche fanbase, and a lot of my friends doesn't even know about SASUKE or ANW (and yes, most of my friends doesn't watch NBC.... or G4), so I'm not really that surprise. So it kind of does make sense to air on low rated TV stations.

Hmmm.. interesting news coming out of Malaysia. Seems the event coming up in a couple of weeks is not SM2.. but SM "HBN" (Hari Belia Negara) edition which is basically another qualifier. Seems they are gearing up for a bigger one later in the year. Here's an article from the same guy that posted the pics from last year's SM1 - arminbaniaz.com/2012/05/sasuke-malaysia-edition-hari-belia-2012.htmlWhat makes things interesting is that they are forming a much larger group call the Sasuke Association. I'm hearing rumors about what it entails but none I can post yet since it's all rumor right now. I hope to get more after SM HBN. HBN will not be taped (just like the Monsoon Cup back in November) but the bigger one later this year will be since THAT is considered SM2 officially. The top 5 going to Singapore still stands as that is the current "prize" for the ones going in a couple weeks. They are also having 2-3 days of walk ons so they can monitor the progress of Malaysian competitors for future events. Even the word Muscle Ranking was used.. which we all associate with Banzuke events... and where Sasuke originally came from. I'll keep you posted if I hear anything definitive and what I can post. Either way SM2 is not in a couple of weeks.. that the HBN edition. This also corroborates another floating rumor that Sasuke 28 might be in December.. but that's not another story and I have no further details on that rumor.

I think a lot of people are hitting the site and it's not responding well. I opened it up now and it's working. Going to cut and paste the words where it mentions it: In support to my fellow comrade and a good friend Zai Johari whom is the producer and director of Malaysia Sasuke, last year the Chief's Original Bootamp, Malaysia sends an army of recruits to participate in the Sasuke Season 1 inaugural launching and in conjunction with Hari Belia, Perhimpunan 1 Juta Belia at Putrajaya (See: In search of MALAYSIA FIRST WARRIOR). We then crowned the Malaysia's first Sasuke Warrior which will be showcased soon!!!
This year, due to popular demand we are showcasing the obstacle again during the Hari Belia and to make it more exciting... we INVITE THE PUBLIC to participate and try-out for only RM5 per participant, one of Japanese oldest and toughest television reality show that if is worthy of being called a "Warrior".
Yes.. I repeat.. you can try out (as many times as you want! Call it a warm up or rehearsal or experiment whatever.. just try it!!) the most talked-about Sasuke obstacle for only RM5.00 by walk-in registration on 23 - 25 May 2012 which includes complimentary membership into the prestige "Sasuke Association"!!!
Sasuke Association??!!
Yes!!! Sasuke Association governs all fans, past, present and future prospect of Sasuke warriors!! Yes.. You do want to be amongst the elite warriors!! They are nothing but a unique breed of people that is worth being associated with!!!
Those walk-in participants whom completed the Sasuke obstacle will be consider to compete in the actual competition on Sunday itself, where the top 5 best shall win a spot to Sasuke Singapore in June 2012.
8 Days Countdown!!! Do not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity!! Eight days!!! Diarize Now!!

I can't help but find that a bit amusing having the UCH in the middle of what I assume is essentially a stage 1 type thing (Assuming their Pipe Slider/Arm Rings don't have a jump and this is kinda like the ones G4 have had)

www.suaragenerasibaru.com/?p=18560Modified UCH but.. it's still there P.S. Seems the article mentioned Sasuke expanding to Indonesia and Brunei! If that's true then the Sasuke Association (of which Malaysia is the head) is getting more countries!

Oh that's the UCH they have... OK that's more sane to have on this course than the actual full sized UCH

If it takes more countries joining to keep Sasuke alive, I'm all for it. As it is, with all these countries joining, it seems that Sasuke may have quite a bit more life left in it.

Thanks for finding and linking the video I wanted to see the UCH in action. I wonder how many got that far at all I'm still surprised it's in a first stage at all.

Who came up with the format for Sasuke Malaysia 2?
I read the sasukepedia entry for Sasuke Malaysia, and their format is close to what I wish the ANW trials format was like. (I've been meaning to create a new thread about how the ANW pre-Vegas/pre-Japan episodes/format are terrible at being an entertaining television program, I just haven't figured out the right title for such a thread.)

I think you missed the part where I said that the HBN Edition is not Sasuke Malaysia 2 (just a correction as to what it is you are looking at). Either way they are their own group that were connected to Biggest Loser Asia from what I remember. The HBN edition unfortunately won't be televised.

Well, it's been WHOLE YEAR since the taping of season 1 of SASUKE Malaysia (which has yet to air, although at this point it's kind of late to broadcast, considering they are promoting HBR and season 2).
Let's hope season 1 would air at some form, even in trailers to promote season 2 or something. I feel bad for people in Malaysia for not able to watch Cat's run of SASUKE (I'm not counting YouTube, Torrent, etc., but as legal way to watch on TV).

Airing of season 1 ain't gonna happen -- I don't know why people still expect it to. Here's to hoping season 2 does though...
