I have a gut feeling that the cliffhanger's reign of being the most feared obstacle is over. I think there will be a new third stage obstacle that will be harder and less conventional than the UCH. I think the danger lies in the second half of the third stage.

Same, I think the cliffhanger might be gone.
Hey if the Pipe Slider were to return, we may see Yuuji fail Stage 3 for the first time. Ryo too.

Well I still think the cliffhanger will be in this third stage, but it will serve the same purpose as the rumbling dice and roulette cylinder and other early stage 3 obstacles: to wear you out for the real challenge.
I think the cliffhanger might actually retain its place as the third obstacle, and the new real menace will be fourth or last. Perhaps a new diabolical version of the pipe slider, which the Bar Glider WASNT.

I think the cliffhanger is still there but is not uch level.
As for the Pipe Slider... Ryo and Yuuji are more prepared for it than you think... They have plenty of Muscle Park and replica experience (hell... Ryo has a Pipe Slider in his bedroom...)

Maybe, but I still think Yuuji could fail it. Not that he isn't good, but that obstacle is probably the hardest obstacle to master.
I've never seen him on a Pipe Slider except the time he failed it in one of the Sasuke trials from way back.
If there's one obstacle Yuuji would fail, that's it.
Ryo too.

Sure, anyone COULD fail any obstacle, I get the Pipe Slider is difficult, but if there was any obstacle that was put on a pedestal to the point the obstacle is being overrated to an extent, it's this one.

I don't understand all of these people saying Yuuji would not do good on the pipe slider, it was the final obstacle in stage 3 n 27.

I don't understand all of these people saying Yuuji would not do good on the pipe slider, it was the final obstacle in stage 3 n 27. Not even close. The Bar Glider had a stopped at the end, the mat was closer than the 14-17 version and prior to that obstacle Stage 3 was a cakewalk other than the UCH.

I don't think the gap from 14-17 will be back anytime soon though. The final 3rd stage jumps have been a non factor during the shin-Sasuke era.

Luckily Kongu rectified this in 24.
If it was the pipe slider of old Yuuji could very easily fail it like anyone else we have seen him fail it at muscle park so he can fail it.
From the picture I saw it looks like the bar glider to me again though argh although if they removed the stoppers and made the gap like 14 - 17 it becomes much more interesting.

That's more like a resting bar. (The bar that the competitions pull themselves up to before the final obstacle)

I dunno... the rest bar is usually green, the visible bar is Orange like the normal Pipe Slider/Bar Glider bar

Watching Sasuke 14 considering that Inui is picking up where he left off when he left his position or whatever it was.

In one of the pics (I forget which one) it seems that the obstacle before the Warped Wall is the Net Bridge. Weird.
