Because the presteige of winning is lost and the whole concept will fade as the competitors end up stronger than the course. The story is meant to be man overcoming insane odds. That's kind of why he might be bringing back a harder version of 14's Third Stage. As Rider said, that was the toughest Stage 3 before 25's. I'm guessing that Inui wants more people in the later stages than we saw in tournaments 5-26 (i.e. 20+ Stage 1 clears; about 10 Stage 2 clears) in order to generate more excitement for the viewers as compared to the whole "spend most of the tournament showing Stage 1 runs" that we saw throughout many of the Higuchi tournaments (especially early Shin-Sasuke). That way, more elite competitors can attempt the drastically tougher Stages 3 and 4. Off-topic: I intended to post this 3 hours ago, but got sidetracked by dinner, washing dishes, and talking with my family for that entire time.

Plausible Yamafriend I really hope your right I have no problem with a easier 1st stage to get plenty of people through but I think the 3rd stage and final need to be drastically harder than ever before. I do welcome back the body prop though it should have never gone.

Well in that case why don't we wait until we see all of Stage 3 before you judge... We've seen the Rumbling Dice, kinda saw and Inui hinted at the Body Prop... and we think there's some form of cliffhanger with a wall lol

I'm thinking more like 25/10/1/0 (the 1 is for Takeda---it would otherwise be 0 due to the renewal but this is his last shot at the Final Stage).

What about stage 4? i'm almost amazed the spiderwalls aren't back since we going old school surely not just a single rope again? Me and Phillip think maybe a net climb then rope with a strict time like 30 sec.

Another look at the bukkake-esque new starting background. And I guess they have now officially set the name as SASUKE Rising. twitter.com/kouki19860821

Ok, even if the color scheme could have been better... that start line looks awesome... loving the shattered glass burst effect.
Also looks like we were mistaken about the cliffhanger having a wall under the middle... Now we just have to figure out WTF that wall is lol
