Ah okay, that makes sense. My first instinct was that each notch is only "out" for a certain time. So if you spend too long on one, it will close and you will fall.

Not to mention, the notches couldn't fold if the bar was on the notches. They couldn't fold up that way if that was the case, the notches would have to fold down.

Yeah I just looked at that... I think the part I find most horrible is the people pre-adding the 28 info obviously are from here... "Crankshaft" is just my placeholder name for the arm bike-like s3ob2 thing... To whoever is doing that, please wait until the broadcast before putting anything on Wikipedia...

I think the Jump Hang Kai is actually called the Jump Hang Aratame.

I think the Jump Hang Kai is actually called the Jump Hang Aratame. It very well could be, ube said Jump Hang Kai was his guess of the reading, it may not be 100% accurate and we'd have to wait for the broadcast to know for sure

The announcers never say the name of the obstacle so for now it is up in the air.
Is there a specific reason to use aratame? Did someone hear that or ask?

I put the kanji into Google Translate and the phonetic reading is Aratame.

>Google translate So it still probably is Jump Hang Kai Here I thought your reasoning was the Cliffhanger Aratame... But yeah there's no way to be 100% sure until the broadcast later, going to be a long 16 hours anyways

I gotta say, I wasn't that big of a fan of the obstacles at first but now I am pretty content with them.

I know it was, but it is just a placeholder. it's better than ?? since we already know what the obstacle is.

Same, I think Stage 1 will be tense. Stage 2 will be unpredictable and Stage 3 will be fun if lots of people get there.

You got ninja'd bud.
Stage One: 1. Godantobi 2. Rolling Escargot 3. Spin Bridge 4. Jump Hang Kai 5. Ni Ren Soritatsu Kabe 6. Tarzan Rope 7. Rope Ladder
Second Stage: 8. Unknown 9. Swap Salmon Ladder 10. Unstable Bridge (you can see one of the boards in the shot of the Swap Salmon Ladder during the Navi) 11. Spider Walk 12. Gyakuso Conveyor 13. Backstream 14. Wall Lifting
Third Stage 15. Unknown (I know the consensus seems to be the Rumbling Dice 16. Unknown 17. Crazy Cliffhanger 18. Curtain Cling (what looks to be it, anyway) 19. Unknown 20. Unknown (looks like the Pipe Slider or Bar Glider, could be a new variation)
20 obstacles or so. Shortest Stage One number-wise since 12, Rising's Second Stage somehow is the longest the stage has ever been number-wise (just by one obstacle), shortest Third Stage since the 2-13 era (six obstacles compared to five).

What is the translation on the Jump Hang Kai?
And obviously I'm referring to the "kai" part of the name,

This second stage actually seems easier, though a bit more tiring. No metal spin and no balance obstacle.
