Trials is a misnomer. They were auditions/tryouts.

Will try to get a romanized list of names up later (unless someone else does it) but it won't be really final until I actually hear the names since there are several ways to say most kanji name combinations.
The majority of the faces are new.
Of note: No Kenji Takahashi, no Okuyama. Koji Hashimoto is way down at 40 while Ryo, Yuuji and Kanno are in the high 80s. Kazuma Asa is 58.

Thanks Ube. I know the pronunciations can be all over the place with the variations from Kanji. Luckily having the list will help later with order shown in broadcast and who was cut. Yeah.. shame no Kongo or Okuyama

27 finalists are at 87 and 88 respectively. Farid 'Cat' Isham is No. 92. Mika Izumi (the kanji is translated as Mika Watanabe though), Kunoichi 3 finalist is listed as 82.

I saw a picture Takeda had posted with her but wasn't sure if she was competing or just watching (like Maho Tanaka had done a couple years back where she didn't compete). Glad to see her on the lineup!

It took me a while to click who she was, I was scrolling the list and suddenly I see her and look at her for a couple minutes and go "I feel like I should know who she is." before I did a quick Google translation. Maybe if she had the bandanna I'd remember her quicker

Mika Izumi (the kanji is translated as Mika Watanabe though), Kunoichi 3 finalist is listed as 82. I knew that face was familiar. Disappointed in myself I didn't catch it though. Not on my Kunoichi game like I used to be, but knowing she's there makes me excited to watch her compete. *prays she doesn't get cut*

Chief was asking me one day if I recognized her (because you wanted to, funny how that works out) and I didn't have a clue. I didn't even think she was notable enough for me to recognize her...now I really don't know how I was able to just from a head shot lol.

For those who remember, Katsumi Yamada and two other celebs (I think one was sprinter Ben Johnson) took part in the Fukuotoko sprint in Kyoto (I think). The guy who finished first is contestant number 1, Fukuda something or other. This is not the first time SASUKE has used the winner of the sprint.

Nice!! Wow this is so much better! Thanks Inui!
Now we have a list for SASUKEpedia before the actual tournament lol. That's gotta be a record.
EDIT: If you click on the pics for the All-Stars, it brings you to their own dedicated page. Don't know if anyone else has one.
Also, the two Americans failed the Double Salmon Ladder and both were digested by NBC in both stages.

Most of the "new stars" have high numbers like Ryo and Yuuji, but poor Koji
