SASUKE Olympics Special? Tape in late June and air the night before the opening ceremonies = SUPA RATINGS BOOSTU They've done it right after the Olys with some success (with recently crowned Olympians). Either way for now let's keep the thread on SS as just the anticipation of 28 alone can dominate the thread.

Note: No mention is made in the article about SASUKE in Japan nor about the winner coming over to Japan to participate. It's more an announcement about the partnership between TBS and Channel 5.

Thanks for perusing that. Google made a mockery of that document.. LOL That said though, it's good to note that this indeed solidifies the event as being official So anything they have been saying (meaning SS) could be taken for truth. Even if TBS doesn't mention anything it's nice to see the partnership. Eta: www.tbs.co.jp/eng/programsales/news/en2012042517.html

Oh, I agree. I'm really looking forward to Sasuke 28. I hope it's a good tournament for the All-Stars. And, I know I've said it before, but I hope that all 6 All-Stars are able to compete this time. I wonder how Bunpei's doing? I hope Bunpei's alright. He hasn't competed since SASUKE 21, four years ago. Even if he did come back, I doubt he would clear Stage 1 though, because of long break. The best I see from Shiratori is a First Stage clear, that is until I know how his injuries are. A long break really doesn't make any difference unless you've been lazy and stopped training. However, I could see Bunpei having had little to no time on his 14 training areas due to his injuries, errr I dunno. For now I think anything can happen. EDIT: I also wanna see Akiyama back. It kills me to see no Akiyama.

They are having their prelims (specifically to weed out the hundreds of applicants they received) before accepting them to compete in Sasuke Singapore. Interesting idea actually. Here's the information so far: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=295866607173050&set=a.268669926559385.62872.266809053412139&type=1Hi All! By now, all applicants should have received a call and email regarding this weekend's trials. Note that we will NOT be accepting any walk-in applicants and it's very important that you bring along the email that we sent regarding your allocated time and date for the trials.
While we've been relatively tight-lipped about what we'll be doing during the trials and the course itself, we can say this. The trials are meant to test your physical ability. We want people who can complete what we consider the bare minimum to move on to our main Sasuke Singapore course. It is not a mock Sasuke Singapore course, but it will separate the wheat from the chaff. So if you turn up and belittle what you have to do on the day itself, be warned. Ninjas everywhere are watching.
As the trials will be located at ITE Central (Bishan), there are a number of ways to travel to the location! From Bishan MRT (CC15/NS17) /Junction 8/Bishan Interchange, it's but a 6-8 minute walk to our trial site. Good for warming up Attached is a map for your reference.

Don't know why it wouldn't be there but it looks like we can confirm a Soritatsu Kabe, it looks like they're moving Malaysia's Warped Wall in one of the pics

Looks like a start line to me honestly. Put a platform over those frames and put a sign on the structure (Look at ANW start lines, mainly ANW4, just a singapore version of something like that)
