That was indeed a G4 season high for ANW4 in both total viewers and the 18-49 age group. Strangely enough, still no G4 press release bragging about it. I think because it wasn't a significant rise and matched the same rating they are just going with the flow. We know they are really counting on the NBC ratings and by all accounts it should be more than fine to okay ANW5 with a sponsor (if they can find one). So the base for American Ninja Warrior on G4 is about 300k (give or take obviously) and the base for NBC is anywhere from 4-5 Million.

I'm not really surprised by the final ratings: tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/07/10/monday-final-ratings-hells-kitchen-masterchef-fear-factor-adjusted-up-the-glass-house-adjusted-down/140924/NBC American Ninja Warrior 1.4/4 (18-49 Rtg/Shr) 3.99 Viewers (millions)It seems like not having "America's Got Talent" as its lead-in and the two week break had a huge impact. It probably also didn't help to have 6 weeks of mind-numbingly repetitive trials that bored me, and probably many casual viewers too. The ratings kept eroding every week, and it finally hit rock-bottom last night, despite Vegas being more interesting TV. G4's Sunday ratings, thanks to TravisYanan and TFC. American Ninja Warrior (9:00) - G4 0.358 million viewers, #34; 0.202 million adults 18-49 (0.2 rating), #34
American Ninja Warrior (10:00) - G4 0.265 million viewers, #36; 0.175 million adults 18-49 (0.1 rating), #35 The ratings for 11pm don't show up most likely because it's after prime-time.

Ooooooooooouch that's bad.. That's not at all what I expected honestly. Some people were waiting for the Finals.. they must not have liked what they saw. Thanks for checking in on that and I'll get the rest of the articles tomorrow. Not feeling that hot today. Feel free to do so if you want! If not I can mess with it tomorrow. Thanks!
btw interesting that G4 was LOSING people along the way. It's usually the other way around.

Well I guess we'll expect ANW 5 to be air only on G4 like it used to be. I don't see how rating is going to improve by next few episodes (depend on competition).

I knew the week off would hurt. Not to mention that lead-in was Fear Factor, which got canceled and is simply burning the last two episodes that they'll air (probably got canceled over that donkey stunt). I won't be shocked if not many watched it. Didn't it also compete against the Home Run Derby last night?

Okay while I had the energy I did the articles for this week: Monday, July 9 NBCOriginal ratings article (unadjusted) tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/07/10/tv-ratings-mondaythe-bachelorette-wins-the-night-masterchef-rises-american-ninja-warrior-falls-fear-factor-returns-down/140817/American Ninja Warrior scored a series low 1.4 adults 18-49 rating down 26% from a 1.9 for the show's last original episode on June 24 at 10PM. Final adjusted ratings: NBC American Ninja Warrior Rating 1.4 / Share 4 Viewers Million: 3.99 Needless to say this is the worst NBC rating and viewers all season. tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/07/10/monday-final-ratings-hells-kitchen-masterchef-fear-factor-adjusted-up-the-glass-house-adjusted-down/140924/www.thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2012/07/10/mondays-broadcast-ratings-hells-kitchen-masterchef-put-fox-in-front-386503/broadcast_20120709/Meanwhile, NBC (3.36 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.1, #4) was out of the hunt with the return of "Fear Factor" (3.99 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.3, #T5), a new "American Ninja Warrior" (3.90 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) and a repeat of "Grimm" (2.19 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #12). And yes everyone was watching cable and Bachlorette on Monday LOL: www.thefutoncritic.com/ratings/2012/07/10/mondays-cable-ratings-espn-triumphs-with-home-run-derby-460415/cable_20120709/cartermatt.com/26176/ratings-the-bachelorette-masterchef-stay-strong/NBC – We have to say that we feel for “American Ninja Warrior.” Without the lead-in of Howard Stern, the competition dropped to a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic that nobody could be pleased with. It also didn’t help that it had a lead-in courtesy of “Fear Factor” who everyone knows is a dead show at this point. blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/07/tv-ratings-the-bachelorette-rises-monday-while-fox-cooks-up-a-demo-win.htmlwww.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/the-sked-monday-network-scorecard-7912.htmlNBC does the other networks a favor. NBC: AMERICA’S GOT TALENT didn’t air last night in favor of a FEAR FACTOR special, which shot a hole in the network’s ratings for the night. Fear only managed a 1.3, and that pulled AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR down to 1.4, off half a ratings point from its last airing. A GRIMM rerun was a 0.6 non-factor at 10PM. www.hitfix.com/news/tv-ratings-bachelorette-gordon-ramsay-lead-abc-fox-on-monday9 p.m. - The second hour of "The Bachelorette" averaged 8.1 million viewers and a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 to lead the 9 p.m. hour. FOX's "MasterChef" was a distant second overall with nearly 5.8 million viewers and a close second in the key demo with a 2.4 rating. CBS' repeats of "Two and a Half Men" and "Mike & Molly" averaged 4.87 million viewers for third and a 1.2 key demo rating for fourth, compared to the 3.9 million viewers and 1.4 key demo rating for NBC's "American Ninja Warrior." The CW trailed with 423,000 viewers and a 0.2 key deo rating for a "Remodeled" repeat. www.deadline.com/2012/07/ratings-rat-race-glass-house-up-bachelorette-hells-kitchen-flat-fear-factor-american-ninja-warrior-hit-low/#utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterFear Factor (1.3/4) returned last night to NBC for the first of a two-part special. A bathtub full of leeches wasn’t enough to stop the show from being down 13% from its last airing on February 12. Monday night’s rating was a series low for Fear Factor. That was followed by more of the same for American Ninja Warrior (1.4/4), which was down 26% from its last show two weeks back. Monday night was also a series low for Warriors. G4 numbers for Sunday were quoted by d6j49kg in a couple posts above this one. Thanks! I'm actually very surprised about the G4 numbers that have been holding steady for a few weeks in anticipation of the final. Seems they were losing people instead of gaining (as they have been all season) and the more complaints about the editing choices were very apparent.

Considering what it was up against, a 2.0 rating is quite good for ANW, right?

Considering what it was up against, a 2.0 rating is quite good for ANW, right? Average. They have scored much higher in the regional finals. The first post has the full scoresheet of week to week. It seems people didn't care much for Vegas for various reasons, they did much better with regionals by comparison. I'll update the first post when final numbers come out. Overall they had a few high points but steadily dropped over time. I wasn't sure how they would do once the finals started but it seemed it dropped off a bit. I would have thought given the fact it was the final show that some people would come back to see that given how much they invested in the show up to this point.. but apparently not. Will be interesting to see the cable numbers for last night for final comparison but that won't be out until tomorrow. Still plenty to work with but still plenty to change. NBC can't be happy with how much they lost when Vegas started but it's good for the regionals since that was the most well received. They won timeslots with that. Vegas never came close to competing with those numbers.

Interesting. I wonder how it will affect ANW5. I kinda doubt they will do the Vegas thing.

Vegas never came close to competing with those numbers. Dang, my sister and aunt actually watched yesterday. That totally should have counted for something.

As a wrestling fan, I'm ecstatic about that rating. As a fan of obstacle course game shows, I hope this shows NBC that you can't fix what isn't broken. What I mean is that while Sasuke can have random profiles for people not a veteran or an All-Star/Shin Sedai, they never come off as overbearing (to me, at least). And they certainly don't provide one for EVERY contestant who they decide to show their run.
