Well from what I saw there were a lot of familiar names and interesting storylines, I just hope that the ratings were decent. Also, did it seem at all like Levi just, well, kind of gave in? He made it to the platform, and appeared to have a steady seat on it, but then just kind of offered himself to the water like we see a lot of joke competitors do on the real sasuke. Anyone else have that feeling?

About the Devil Steps - Does anybody know what material the steps were made of, or the exterior, and how it felt, grip-wise?

Anyone else have that feeling? No, sometimes it's just hard to recover from awkward positions like that. His momentum became a detriment rather than helping him, and the surface was probably a little slippery as well.

From my own recording, I took some screenshots of PART 1. All images downsized from 1280x720 to 853x480. Gallery can be seen here: minus.com/mG80fJURs/1gObvious spoilers are obvious. I'll go through PART 2 later.

I can't recall what the devil steps were made of, but there was some grip along the top edge of each step. It felt kind of like graphite paper. Pretty good surface for gripping.

Levi didn't even need to run it fast. He was already guaranteed a spot regardless of how long he took to do it. What a waste.

They did not show Frog Dude, Yen from Reddit, or One man Wolf Pack. Interesting...

I don't follow. How was he guaranteed a spot?
Bada is right. Momentum is unruly, especially on the Quad Steps. Lean too far in the wrong direction and poof, there goes all your power. And it's not over once you get to the landing platform, either. You have to keep driving all the way up it, which was made very apparent to me during my run at ANW2.

I think he meant if Levi had cleared the course at all he was guaranteed a spot in semis, he didn't have to rush. Since only 26 cleared, if he had cleared the course he would have been in semis. I think that's what he was trying to say...

I think that's what he was trying to say... Unless we know he went last, there was no way of knowing under 30 would clear. Plus what's to say he might not make a mistake later

I think we know he was last, or at least close to it, we saw his number was 181. And on top of that there were people who cleared with over 2 minutes. If levi just focused instead of rushing he pretty much was guaranteed to make it to semis

I saw #215 in the waiting area at one point so no, he wasn't last.

Good to see Caine back in the top 30, even if his run got cut.
EDIT: Food for thought... IIRC only 35-40 cleared out of the entire COUNTRY last year. Granted more people participated but if you look at a lot of people that cleared last year (take David, Brian, and James for instance), it's not altogether unusual for only 26 to clear, ESPECIALLY with the Devil Steps.

They did not show Frog Dude, Yen from Reddit, or One man Wolf Pack. Interesting... Can you say how they did? Also, they didn't show Brian O.'s run. Maybe he will be in the Northwest?

Also, they didn't show Brian O.'s run. Maybe he will be in the Northwest? Brian O is in the northwest, as is David Campbell in case you forgot about him as well.

Luci Romberg was the only one that impressed me last night. She gave a valiant effort.
