is it possible to play ps2 games on computer like gba games? Technically yes but you need a pretty powerful computer to run a PS2 emulator at a playable speed. Say your computer can run Crysis. It's still not powerful enough (except for maybe graphics)

Rider, PS2 Emulation only requires 1.5x the processing power to the PS2. Crysis basic PC requirements are easily 2x the the processing power of a PS2. So to say that a crysis able computer won't be able to play a PS2 emulator doesn't add up at all. I've been hacking for at least 5 years with XNA, C#, and linux programing experiece and I have a basic idea on how emulation works. I will say that a video card will have a major factor on how well the PS2 Emulation will work. So even if you have a third core processor, a horrible video card will ruin everything. So rider, if you had trouble with a PS2 emulator, even a somewhat good video card will give you trouble. SuperTiger - Below, there is a link where you can download the PS2 emulator. This download will include the PS2 Bios. Remember that this is illegal to download unless you have access to a PS2 licences. rapidshare.com/files/126496855/Playstation.2.Emulator.v2.09.01.Ps2_Bios_by_don.rarSuperTiger - You will need a very good graphic card to run the emulation. A duel core processor should do fine. A third core should be better. Oh, and have atleast 4 gigs of ram.

Actually I Ran the Crysis demo perfectly (unfortunately the game sucked), The PS2 Emulator worked but didn't get to playable speeds. Which emulator is linked? PCSX2 is the one I tried that was too slow. EDIT: Damn, 4 GB or RAM, I only have 3. I suppose if I overclock I could run it but I don't really know how exactly to Overclock (and then Underclock when I'm done so I don't burn everything out)

The emulator linked is the PCSX2.
I'm looking at your specs and I noticed you are using vista. Vista uses at least 1 gig of ram consistently. Then, any other programs you have running will take up more ram. This being said, you may only have 1.5 Gb of mar to spare. Even tho the PS2 has very little ram, emulation will be using alot so you may need to do a quick upgrade to your computer.
Also, NEVER overclock a computer. I understand people do it and it's alot of fun to showoff. There are chances of electric surges and other nasty events. I personally woulld never take the risk but you are welcome to try.

Well I don't have money to buy new specs. And I'm not downgrading to XP. So what other option would there be?

PS2 emulation has lots of compatibility issues. There aren't that many games that run perfectly.

PS2 emulation has lots of compatibility issues. There aren't that many games that run perfectly. Correct, alot of compatability issues are created within the PS2 emulation. It's quite funny how Nintendo Wii emulation is performing better than the 10 year PS2. Back to buisness. For those who need an alternative to PS2 emulation. I would invest in a disc called "Swap Magic." Swap magic is an easy alternative to "chipping" your PS2. Using the technology of the old game "Monster Rancher", You place the swap magic in the PS2 and when it loads, use a key to open the PS2 and swap the disc with a burned PS2 games. Swap magic also allows you to play import games. This included PAL/NTSC-J. Included below is a link to their website. www.keepgaming.com/swma36pl.htmlThe flip top will be needed to be purchased if you have a slim PS2. The Swap Key will be needed for a fat PS2. Of course you need both discs.

Note: if you can run it, you can also use a PS3 controller (since they use USB) as a gamepad for a more complete experience.
