People should know by now about the big controversy. In case you don't, let me fill you in: 20+ clear Stage 1, nobody clears Stage 2 BUT Brent Steffensen gets a second run and clears, failing the Third Stage. This has been confirmed by multiple sources.

Yes. Who knows, maybe it was an obstacle fault. We'll have to watch and see. ;D

I take issue with the first choice. This is not Sasuke.

I take issue with the first choice. This is not Sasuke. I didn't mean to infer that this was an official SASUKE tournament, but rather that people competed on a SASUKE-style course in America, thus embodying the spirit of SASUKE in a sense (if that makes any). It's hard to describe.

I know that. G4 and NBC failed to capture that spirit.

Why not watch it anyway? What they did is stupid but i'm still intrigued. I don't watch fixed competitions. I would watch Wipeout instead. It's not Sasuke. I can't believe I was holding out hope that Comcast would get it right.. and the more I hear about wtf happened the more I really don't care anymore. They'll never change. I feel bad because it's not the competitor's fault NBC is so damn incompetent. There's nothing "intriguing" about outright deception.

what they did really sours me on the whole thing, but Im not gonna lie - I know Ill watch it. Ill see if the deception gets to me once we get to the 2nd stage, I guess.
If I still want to try to compete next year after seeing how it goes, I will probably not only watch it, but have a pencil and paper handy to take notes.

I'm watching to essentially see how it's spun. I'll reserve judgment until that moment.

I doubt people will watch it only until the end of stage 2.
If it's on Youtube, I'll probably watch it.

I'll definitely watch it. Could be ridiculous, but I'm very curious to see how it plays out. Besides, what are we gonna do, boycott it?? (no--at least not successfully)

I'm still going to watch it... Even if one run is rigged, there were still 99 legit runs... and he still cleared stage 1 legit...

Only one competitor passed stage 2 but he did not make it to the buzzer in time [ b](He was 4 secs off). NBC is right now reshooting his run to make it look like he passed. He will be moving on to stage 3. Sorry I know this is a spoiler, but I have lost all interest with this sport. This is my one and only post. Goodbye.

I'm watching to see how everything is set up and that's it. I don't care if 99/100 runs are legit. It's still utter BS they had to rig one up. It just makes me care even less about ANW, and the nature in which it's run.

Lame in all honesty if they fixed it like that for someone to be in stage 3! I'll look to see the course but i don't really care about the tournament itself now.
