I may not fully grasp the entire constellation of uses for the spoiler tag... just call me careful! Another thing that hasn't been mentioned that I believe contributed to the *dismal* outcome of the Northeast regional final is fatigue/sleep deprivation. Miami was the only region to happen entirely at night, 3 nights in a row. That meant that us Northeast types were up for nearly 24 hours the first day (competing overnight between 9pm and 5am tuesday night), got whatever sleep we could wednesday before heading back to the course that night (many of us staying for the duration to cheer on our friends/roomates/teammates, etc), got another s***ty bout of day-sleep thursday, only to have to wait at the course until well after 1am before they even started our final. I can't speak for everyone, but myself and many others had a hell of a time sleeping during the day with all the nerves/excitement/weirdness, getting little more than 2-3 hours in each morning before waking again. We looked and felt like zombies by that third night, and I'm pretty sure it screwed a lot of people up
