Now that G4 aired Takahashi Kenji's run in full, we can discuss about his time on the course. Honestly, I don't know what was getting to him. For those of you who hadn't watched his run, he took 3 attempts on the Half-Pipe and 4! on the Wall! It could have just been due to heat fatigue, but is he losing it? When he went for his 3rd attempt on the HPA, he landed one foot on the platform and one foot on the log leaning foward. For a second there it looked like he was about to lose his balance. And honestly, his attempts on the Kabe were utterly pitiful. I think Yamada had better form than him. I think his height (5'8 1/2) is the only reason he even passed it. After this, as we know, he failed the Spinning Bridge. No wonder though, he was pressed for time. (30 seconds and counting)
Do you think Kongu is finally going downhill? Or have the past two tournaments just been bad luck? Discuss.

Same problem I see with Okayama... THEY ARE GETTING OLD! With okuyama maybe, but not takahashi. He's still only 35 and sasuke is one of those blessed sports where age isnt so much of a factor. For god's sake nagano got kanzenseiha at 34 and at 35-37 he was still the best man at sasuke. I think kongu still has a few years left in him.

Everyone has a bad tournament sometimes. Kenji is still going strong, I think. And Btw, Kenji is about 5'11; he's tall for a Japanese man. Yamada is 5'8; he's average height.
Edit: Never mind. Kenji isn't as tall as I thought he was. He's only 3 cm taller than Yamada. I thought he was taller than that. Guess I was thinking of someone else.

It's weird, because I've always thought that Kong had great balance. I thought the Spin Bridge would be an easy obstacle for him.
Oh well, he must have been fast up until the HPA, then, since someone said he had 30 seconds before the Spin Bridge.

IMO What hurts him is strategy. Always felt he was sloppy on the Jumping Spider until... about when 23 came along. (We didn't see his run in 22) He's not very technical/balanced with the way he approaches these obstacles. He usually has to fail an obstacle once before he really gets a strategy going during his own training.

So when can we expect NW27 you know where so those without g4 can see the new runs?

Kongu was probably fatigued from the heat yes, but I think what killed him was having to run so early (#15) and he hadn't seen many people's tactics on the Spin Bridge. I guess that's why his fail didn't surprise me in the first place. Same problem I see with Okayama... THEY ARE GETTING OLD! Ummm... Okuyama has reached Stage 3 6 times in a row and even reached the Final Stage in 24. Not to mention he only failed the Warped Wall both times he failed the First Stage and his Second Stage failure in 20 was a fluke.
