Were there any competitors in 27 who you thought choked?
I thought Shinya Kishimoto, the Malaysian winner, David Campbell and maybe Yamada choked.
Discuss.

Choking is definitely the wrong word here.
Shinya: Apparently the wall was very dusty, which hindered his progress Cat: Failed the most commonly failed obstacle due to bad positioning David: Guy's strength just ran out unfortunately Yamada: Yamada hasn't cleared in almost a decade
Choking would be Brady losing twice to the Giants in the Super Bowl after having the lead taken away from him. In that sense, everyone who didn't win choked. In Shinya and David's cased they progressed (Shinya made it further in the First Stage and David almost beat the UCH), if they actually choked, they would've done worse. Cat was a wild card and Yamada is Yamada unfortunately.
P.S. This is in the wrong board by the way.

I think David choked. His technique on the UCH showed nerves. Instead of going right for the jump to the small ledge, he fumbles his grip around for a few seconds unlike the other 3 UCH clears. This caused him to run out of steam on the last ledge. To suggest he didn't choke would be like suggesting that he didn't improve after almost a year more of training. Not only were the doorknobs, which he said was his biggest problem in 26 removed but also the Roulette Cylinder which I can tell you is a gargantuan strength sapper.
I think Yamada choked as well. He knew this was his shot when he got to the wall with so much time left. He grabbed the top with one hand, and let go when his mind outweighed his grip.
I think Lee just wasn't thinking, not necessarily a nervous failure. Cat just slipped, like anyone else. Shinya was a victim of the dust, it never looked like he had traction on the wall.
