upload.g4tv.com/anw-casting/upload.aspxThis ought to be interesting.. G4's American Ninja Warrior is returning! Think you have what it takes to beat the course? For the first time ever, G4 will hold 6 regional tryouts in 3 host cities. For a chance to compete on American Ninja Warrior you must fill out the form below and submit your video before the deadline! Regional Tryout Locations: LOS ANGELES, CA (Northwest and Southwest Region) DALLAS, TX (Midwest and South-Central Region) MIAMI, FL (Northeast and Southeast Region) For the first time ever, this year's entire competition will take place on U.S. soil. Through G4's partnership with Japanese broadcaster, TBS, the ultimate obstacle course will come to Las Vegas, NV where the top 100 regional finalists will attempt to conquer all four stages and earn the coveted title of American Ninja Warrior and a $500,000 cash prize. P.S. No word on the Japan course which is sad but nice to see they are finally doing regionals and putting the prize money within ANW completely. I'm all for that.

This ought to be interesting, American Sasuke in Vegas... Hopefully the TBS involvement is as strong as it was with Sasuke Malaysia...
The real question... If it's US contained why is it just for people over 21 still...

Well nothing is stopping them from eventually inviting the winner (or top competitors) from ANW4 to an eventual Sasuke 28 when they are ready for it.

That's true, but under 21 or not, If someone is able to get kanzenseiha in Vegas they should probably be allowed to go to 28...

Anyway I'm curious and excited to see how this plays out. The deadlines are REALLY close though.. seems they might start taping this as early as March given that initial deadlines are in friggin FEBRUARY..

Yeah, this is interesting to hear that something is going on. And it sounds like they're finally improving the system (even if we may not have 28), It's good progress for them

From what I hear, this IS Sasuke 28.
"For the first time ever, this year's entire competition will take place on U.S. soil. As in, the entire Sasuke will take place here. It says the obstacle course is coming to las vegas.
This is what a lot of ANW competitors are speculating.

No.. that means ANW4 is being helped to be built by TBS just like Sasuke Malaysia's course was built by TBS.

Yeah I think it just means they will be helping, and also, since Malaysia and USA are getting notices, it will be interesting what the Japanese competitors hear in the next month. Especially the ones who post on FB like Shingo.

The Japanese already said that there is no Spring Sasuke so unless they are guests I wouldn't expect them to be here (except the TBS crew of course) as competitors. Sasuke 28 IS rumored to happen.. just not right now. It's too soon.

No.. that means ANW4 is being helped to be built by TBS just like Sasuke Malaysia's course was built by TBS. The wording is really ambiguous. "The entire competition will be held on american soil". Could be interpreted as Sasuke in general. By the way, people with twitter accounts I am asking a small favor. Please message the G4 intern that runs the facebook page (via twitter since he actually responds) and ask him why the age limit is still 21 and not 18, and if there are any plans on changing that. There is power in numbers, at the very least we might get a straight forward answer.

Exactly. How does that NOT sound like Sasuke 28? I can see it both ways to be honest, but I definitely see reason to worry that Sasuke is no longer in Japan.

I know last year the wording was changed because they caused a problem in how people perceived what it was they were trying to say. Given how the event is called ANW4 and given that the 100 are comprised entirely of American regional finalists.. I don't see how anyone can confuse this for Sasuke 28. The only thing that might be a confusion is that TBS is being involved.. but the bigger issue is that the past 2 ANW's they said the "finals of ANW" were in Japan.. when it was part of another event. Now it's not part of the Japanese event at all so they have to change the wording.. so they are "technically" correct that the "first time in US soil" given that by their own definition ANW was held in 2 countries in the past.

I understand your point, that's why I said I could see it both ways. It still has me worried though...

G4 has never been clear with their wordings, Aside from the "Finals" that Arsenette mentioned (I.E. Sasuke), Remember when ANW1 said "The toughest obstacles were shipped from japan" and it was just all US made copies?
