Putting this here since it's "implications" since nothing is changing the bankruptcy end.. seems there is a rumor going around that Sasuke has changed hands (Current rumor is TBS owns it outright..). If that is true then Sasuke is not canceled.

I hope that's true. I haven't heard anything else from Shingo about Sasuke. I dunno whether or not he's heard this rumor. I'll let y'all know if he posts anything, but he hasn't posted anything about Sasuke for the past couple of days. Actually, now that I think about it, he hasn't posted anything on Facebook at all since he posted that message about Sasuke probably ending. Anyway, if I find anything out from him, I'll let y'all know.

If that is true then Sasuke is not canceled. What would that mean for us exactly anyways? On the outside that would look like since TBS has full control that sasuke is alive, but does that mean they'd even do a tournament on their own? Is the amount they make from G4 and the Malaysian provider for involvement along with the international buyers considerable enough to make a profit? Does that combined with 27's ratings appear to be enough for them to consider it? And this isn't even getting into factors like will Higuchi return to TBS for it or is this going to be a whole new production team? (although I guess we won't know that yet). But I'm just wondering how high the hope is, all TBS having full control over Sasuke means is they have the rights to it. Although I'm hopeful of a 28 considering that there already seems to be a deal in America and Malaysia

But I'm just wondering how high the hope is, all TBS having full control over Sasuke means is they have the rights to it. Although I'm hopeful of a 28 considering that there already seems to be a deal in America and Malaysia I'm getting hints from a different locations LOL One was just a few hours ago in a tweet from the same person that gave us the Sasuke 27 date and a few other things that weren't public for another month.. To put it into perspective if Sasuke was still owned by M9 then it's locked in litigation for months until the Bankruptcy is over. Considering that M9 is going for full liquidation then that means Sasuke would go down the drain with all the other assets. With TBS holding the cards they are not bound by the bankruptcy proceedings and just continue like nothing ever happened. I know from the surface a lot of people think TBS did everything but in fact M9 did a LOT of the legwork and ALL of the planning. I don't think people realize how much Higuchi is to the franchise. There's conflicting rumors as to his involvement post bankruptcy. Some are saying he's part of the production team only (and no longer owner) so the physical appearance of the show will not change since the creator is still involved (and he does the design of over 90% of the obstacles btw..) other rumors have him only doing limited parts and other rumors have him not in the mix at all. The TBS owning outright is the prevailing rumor.. again.. not confirmed. Even as early as Monday someone on the G4 forums (with very little use of grammar so I took it as a kid) said that changes were made but I doubted it simply because of how it was presented (and with no proof). Now with other corroborating rumors from people I trust to have at least "some" information.. seems that this is true in some form or fashion. One thing has been confirmed though even if I don't have confirmation who owns it now.. seems Sasuke is not canceled. THAT alone is worth it. The only fear I have is the increased overseas involvement in the mechanics of the show. I don't want G4 to continue to edit out the Americans on the USA official broadcast.. that infuriates me. It's not fair to them who kicked a** but no one worldwide even knows they exist.. but that's another subject. We have to wait to see if anything overt changes. Given the rumor is TBS we might just see the same set up as usual without any major changes. I think the involvement of Higuchi is the bigger issue since he has been controlling what we see for 14 years. P.S. Seems whoever is running the TBS boo (the Japanese twitter feed not the sales one) doesn't know about the rumor. I did email corporate.. doubt they will contact me but I'm trying!

Please GOD let this be true.
P.S., regarding the guy on the G4 board, I couldn't tell if he was a kid or simply not an "English-as-native-language" speaker. Hopefully, it's the latter.

One other potential positive to TBS or other ownership of the series ... maybe now fences can be mended with some of the folks who fell out of favor with Monster9. In particular, it would be great to have the Kosugi and Nagasaki brothers back.

C&P from the other post: List of known M9 creditors. I don't think the list is complete because they have until December to file. n-seikei.jp/2011/11/post-3322.htmlAll numbers are in the 10,000s. There are several banks on the list plus construction and supply companies. Yoshimoto Creative is also on there, which is interesting (it's the production arm of the Yoshimoto Kogyo, the biggest agent of comedians in Japan).

I'll see if I can tell anything a bit later today. I used to teach both. From all the evidence I could find, he's just a kid.
