Yes, I know it's early, where else do I put this thread? Who do you think will be in the top 15 (boot camp)/10? It was really hard to pick because there are TONS of good competitors. My thoughts: #15 David Money #14 Jake Smith #13 Patrick Cusic #12 Shane Daniels #11 Brian Kretsch ------------------------------------------------ #10 Trevor Vaughn #9 Chris Wilczewski #8 Brian Orosco #7 Drew Drechsel #6 Travis Furlanic #5 Ryan Stratis #4 James McGrath #3 Paul Kasemir #2 Levi Meeuwenberg #1 David Campbell What are your predictions?

No Brent??? And Drew said he'll most likely miss ANW4 There's always a shocking fail. Drew's MCL healed up, he should be good to go.

I think Young Flip's the real deal. Once he got to Boot Camp, he had no troubles whatsoever. I hate that he failed the Slider Drop, because I really think he could've given the UCH a run for it's money.
Also, for whatever it's worth, I also think we're going to see a big name fail one of the first 2 rounds before Boot Camp. (I'm thinking either Travis F. or Brent) Just a hunch.

Sorry, I don't think flip even has a chance of beating the UCH. Just because he beat the super easy version at boot camp doesn't mean anything. No Brent??? Sorry, I don't think flip even has a chance of beating the UCH. Just because he beat the super easy version at boot camp doesn't mean anything. When I say he would give it a "run for its money," I'm not saying he would clear it. Remember, I'm the guy who still questions whether or not Li En Zhi can complete the UCH. That message was more of an appeal to the potential of Young Flip, which I think could be quite large, especially for someone who is strictly a Freerunner. I don't care if the ledges were 4 inches wide, that's still a big a** Cliff Hanger. I like to consider myself pretty able for most challenges, but I know I'd have no chance in Hell of defeating that thing, Boot Camp or otherwise. Now, was it nerfed in Boot Camp? No doubt. But let's not totally discredit Young Flip because of that. I'm reserving judgment until we see him on the real thing.

My Predictions:
15th: Caine Sinclair (Has a good day and squeaks into top 15, but no way he can compete with some of the American new stars)
14th: Brett Sims (Good competitor, but again, not consistent enough. I don't think he'll survive a trip up the Ropes)
13th: Shane Daniels (Good, but inconsistent. Easily possible that he could have a slip-up in Boot Camp that retires him early)
12th: Jake Smith (He was lucky to get into ANW3's Camp. I don't think he'll get out of this one.) 11th: David Rodriguez (I'm not sure how good he is at rope climbing, and that could hurt him if he ever has to go up the ropes)
---------------------------------
10th: Richard King (He beat Sasuke 23's First Stage. I think the Log Grip failure was a fluke.)
9th: Travis Rosen (Tough new guy. I don't know why he wouldn't make it back.)
8th: Ryan Stratis (Tough guy, but he has had past troubles. The UCH performance in ANW3 sure rocketed him to this list!)
7th: James McGrath (Who the hell is this guy? Oh, the boss who was 8th in BC/UCH man? Yeah, him.)
6th: Paul Kasemir (This is probably too low, but I agree Kasemir's a total boss)
5th: Travis Furlanic (I'm only putting him above Kasemir because I think Furlanic would do better on the 3rd stage. Furlanic also gets points for crazy speed, too.)
4th: Brian Orosco (He's not taking 11th lying down. I see Orosco coming back with the upper body strength he needs)
3rd: Brent Steffensen (Maybe a bit too high, but I think he could haven given the UCH a run for its money if he wasn't Metal Spun)
2nd: David Campbell (Fast? Strong? What else do you need?)
1st: Levi Meeuwenberg (Will be back and better than ever)

If you've practice on cliff-hanger of varying sizes a lot (like I have) then you'd realize how easy the bootcamp one was simply by looking at it. Yes, 3cm and 4cm is a HUGE difference. Huge huge.

This is super hard. I think I can name a top 30 for you easier than a top 15. Surprising?
1 David Campbell 2 Travis Furlanic 3 Levi Meeuwenberg 4 Brian Orosco 5 Paul Kasemir 6 Brent Steffensen 7 Ryan Stratis 8 James McGrath 9 Travis Rosen 10 David Rodriguez 11 Jake Smith 12 Drew Drechsel 13 Rich King 14 Caine Sinclair 15 Joop Katana (He wanted to tryout this time, submission video wasn't excepted) 16 Brandon Douglass 17 Chris Wilczewski 18 Evan Dollard 19 Brian Kretsch 20 Mike Bernardo 21 Sean Morris 22 Adam Truesdell 23 Brett Sims 24 Ruselis Perry 25 Lorin Ball 26 Tim Shieff 27 Trevor Vaughn 28 Andrew Karsen 29 Shane Daniels 30 Ryan Cousins
This is in no particular order and almost everyone on here has made it to semis already, but this will be something close to what I expect for the semi finals. I mean I can name another 15 guys who can make it to top 30.... but I'm going to stick with the 30 names I put here. As much as I'd like to edit this LOL.

No love for Frosti??/ ( I dunno. I forgot his real name) Michael Zernow. TBH, I'd rather have Patrick or Frosti than Tim (don't try to hotshot the course the first time and then fail one of the easier obstacles the second -- I consider him a definition of "Oh I can get by no problem, what's this about a Japanese obstacle course?").

Actually you're wrong about that. According to James Mcgrath it was the most stressful thing he has ever done. (Tim)

If you've ever seen what Livewire can do on a pole (no homo) you'd know he'd be a better candidate to reach stage 3 than Frosti (Michael Zernow) or Patrick Cusic.

Any of the people mentioned here either have, or definitely can, make it to boot camp and beyond. But there are soo many lesser known names out there that are incredibly strong too. Look at who made it to boot camp in ANW3. Drew, Flip, Rosen, Wilczewski, McGrath, Douglass, etc. all were pretty unheard of at the time (depending on if you watched Jump City or followed the ANW1 and ANW2 semis or whatever). I predict at ANW4 boot camp + Japan we'll see about half returning vets and half completely new folks.
Plus there's all the people who weren't old enough for ANW3 but now are. I'll be excited to see what happens.

Reason being is that I think the competitors who made it to Japan last time were a good portion of the cream of the American crop. I fully expect 6, 7, maybe even 8 ANW3 guys to go back for ANW4. The only ones I have serious doubt about are Jake Smith and Drew Dreschel. I feel everyone else can all but cruise through Boot Camp if they were to get there.

Assuming the qualifying course is actually DRY. Shane was more than a favorite to make it back to Japan but G4 doesn't know how to organize so they let the course stay wet for too long.

Well, Like I swear I said in another topic, I figure they'd keep the venice beach (and I guess technically behind that best buy ) stuff the same, One course for Qualifiers, said course expanded for Semifinals, and the top people from that go to something new... Instead of Boot Camp they'd go to a full replicated Sasuke course (Set up in the same place as Boot Camp), They'd save money by not sending the 10 people + crew to Japan (travel and hotels) and they definitely have the space out there to set up the whole thing. And I figure the final stage would probably something like the current (former?) or original incarnation of the Final Stage, They'd just use the Heavenly Ropes thing but have a real time limit to climb the rope instead of climbing against another person (So they'd only really need one rope and the rest would be decoration which it already has).
