omfg tell me about it. They handled the 3rd Stage in 12 like this. "We are half way through Stage 3, but which of the remaining 10 competitors advance past these treacherous challenges? Stay tuned!
Welcome back to Ninja Warrior. Bunpei Shiratori cleared! Some people fell on the cliffhanger, and three on the pipe slider. Now only one challenger remains." (Nagano)
F*** you Dave Wittenberg. You ruined this too?

Based on the descriptions of the episodes, I think it's safe to say this is only the first stage. I remember for one of the more recent NW's they had four full episodes devoted to the first stage only.
Did they ever make an announcement that NW27 was going to take place over more than one night? You'd think they'd say something on their website or in a commercial...

They only said March for about 2 months now.. then in the past week I believe they said the 4th. Even then they didn't mention it will be split for the first time.. Most of the time it airs in full on one night. Guess they are trying to milk it for what it's worth? Dunno. I'm just happy the damn thing is airing.. UK has been waiting patiently for months.. and the rest of the world for that matter but UK specifically since I tweet back and forth with the announcer for that show.

The last couple of episodes they're airing before going back to their usual crappy 9 hour blocks of Cops are two All-Stars (Yamamoto and Yamada) as well as Professor Coombs trying, and the final one is all the "top" competitors. Garbage this time around considering that the competitors were spread around for 27 so that people didn't have to sit and watch people fail for over six hours before the people whom actually had a chance of even getting past the RE go up.
When and where Isham and people like Hidenori Sasaki (the man who lost his house in the tsunami and was shown training on the remains of his house) will be shown is beyond me. I'm glad I never saw the G4 versions of 26. I watched the first part of 25 on G4 and couldn't find the will to go on because it was such crap.
I hate G4, yes I do, but this is full-on "I want it ----ing dead."

So does anyone have the list of who they showed and who got axed? Off hand these are the ones I remember... New runs: Kojima Yoshio Nagasawa Hidenori Takahashi Kenji FF: Wakky (dammit how could they FF his first clear) And I don't think Naoki Iketani got mentioned at all or maybe I missed it during the FFs.

They aired Kenji's run and then fast forwarded Kouji Hashimoto and someone else. Most of the FFs outside of Wakky were FFed in Japan anyway.

I'm compiling a preliminary list of the competitors who failed. However, I will still need help on the FFs.

Dammit, I was hoping they'd show Kouji's run, so it can be shown in the UK.
Did they show Kanno?

Yes, they did.
Also, so everyone knows: The final THREE (yes there are 6 total) parts will be aired on Sunday at 9 PM Eastern.

I noticed after Li En Zhi just ate it on the Step Slider, the clip of David Campbell shaking Mr. SASUKE's hand was cleverly and cropped so that you could only see his arm. For some reason, G4 also cut Shingo Yamamoto explaining to Yamada what happened. Stupid G4...

New runs: Nagasawa Hidenori G4 showed Nagasawa's run? That's pretty ironic considering how in the Sasuke 27 Navi they showed his son's full run and gave a little background bit about him beforehand (as well during Kinnikun's profile during the actual Sasuke 27 broadcast), yet TBS still ended up digesting his own run. Anyway I didn't get to see the G4 broadcast of 27's Stage 1 yet so that'll be interesting to see. IIRC, we haven't seen any run of his in full since his Stage 1 clear all the way back in Sasuke 16 (which IIRC is the only time other than his run in 11 that he was neither digested nor cut). I wonder if he's aware of this because I'm sure he'd love to have it on his YouTube channel!
