Kind of reviving an old thread here, used in Sasuke 24. What were some of you guys' favorite moments, and also least favorite moments, or just painful to watch moments...you get it.
Good: Oh, so many...let's see here.
Nagano's comeback, making it to Stage 3. Urushihara's second kanzanseiha. Matachi making it to the Final Stage. Hashimoto being the first to clear the UCH. Kanno as #1, being the first to clear. 27 people clearing the first stage...in the 27th tournament.
Bad:
Shingo and Kenji on the Spinning Bridge. So heartbreaking! Tajima on the Slider Drop. Seriously, who saw that coming? Sasuke Malaysia on the Rolling Escargot. Yamada on the Warped Wall. This one doesn't have to be explained.
Ugly:
Kanno in Stage 2. Totally didn't deserve that. Li En Zhi in the first stage. Does this really need an explanation? Kinnikun on the Rolling Escargot. Such high hopes for him. Big disappointment. David on the Ultimate Cliff Hanger. Oh so close he was!
What are you guys' inputs?

Ugly: The Matsuri guy almost doing a full pike with the Double Salmon Ladder.

Ugly: The final stage. I was about to say double kanzenseiha.

The Good: The fact that we actually had a SASUKE 27 to watch, Ryo's amazing run, 3 people clearing the UCH (albeit made slightly easier with the previous new obstacles), Yuuji's win - you have to give the guy his props - 7 secs left too - wow
The Bad: no Takeda, no big names or star power, Kenji and Shingo's fails, the American Levi-wanna-be in the mask WTF was that! and the 3rd stage changes (besides the UCH it was a joke)
The Ugly: Li's fail...still speechless, TBS' numerous digests and FF even of top competitors, and that guy who tried to bite off the bottle cap - what a complete and utter moron!
And the fact that SASUKE 27 could have been confused with SASUKE 4 with so many competitors passing stage 1, someone blowing away the final stage and the rope climb, and the easy obstacles in stage 3 - arm bike? those ropes and chains? really?

Good - Yuujis win, Nagano's revival, Ryo in final stage and a masterclass on stage3, Hashimoto pwning the uch with such casual ease, lots of clears early on in 1st stage.
Bad -3rd stage made too easy bar the UCH, final stage time was too high 35 would have been better (Yuuji would still have won 1 sec spare), Shingo on the cannon balls, Kongu's fail. No Takeda competing. Too MUCH time limit on 1st stage. The 3 ropes and arm bike in stage 3 I hate them with passion they are useless.
Ugly - Lee fail unbelivable =/ gutting for him, Ishikawa's flying bar fail lol what was that. Some of the digests and the Malaysian winner coming all that way to lose on the snail and take it really badly. Awkward moment.

3rd stage was still one of the hardest we've ever had. It's not "easy". Yuuji and Ryo are just monsters. We've always known if they got to stage 3 they would completely destroy it.
Final stage I also don't think was too easy. Yuuji is a guy who trains on ropes everyday. He's mastered it. I question whether or not Akiyama would even beat that rope climb. If he did it certainly wouldn't be with 6 seconds left.
The "levi wannabe" is pretty cool. Though I'm assuming you didn't watch ANW so you have no idea who these people are. Your loss since they're all pretty amazing people.

What I saw on SASUKE 27 was a guy wearing an idiotic mask flipping and twirling his way through stage 1 ala Levi. He looked ridiculous and it was embarrassing. That's what I saw but he could be a friggin' Nobel Peace Prize winner for all I know.

TBS obviously loved him. They loved his "gimmick" and story.
He was having family troubles so instead of resorting to things like drugs he started expressing himself through his masks and also took up parkour.
But you really should look up these guys. America did really well this year and all of the athletes are amazing. I'm sure they'll all be back for ANW4.
9/10 passing stage 1. 4/9 passing stage 2. The only one that didn't pass stage one got injured after landing the HPA. He would've passed as-well.
UCH ended up eating them for breakfast but that's a different story.

Good: -Yuuji owning everything again, and climbing rope at 20m/33s = .61 m/s (compared to Akiyama's 15m/24s = .63 m/s on the shorter climb). -Nagano's resurgence while mourning for his father. No doubt in my mind that he's still got it. Soo happy to see him at least attempt the UCH—if he would have failed the metal spin or flying bar, I would have just died! -Everyone else’s success (Ryo’s domination, Kouji’s UCH first pass, Okuyama continues to prove that age is just a number, Kanno’s stage 1 clear with bib #1, etc.). -David’s stage 1 time record of 44 point something seconds left. Granted, the limit was a little high. But he seriously did not step for a second. For example, before the Jumping Spider, and HPA, he just kept running the whole time. Also, for those that don’t know, his nephew Travis Furlanic (one of the fast-forwarded ANW qualifiers) finished with 43 point something seconds left. Bad + Ugly: -Li’s and Cat Isham’s (Sasuke Malaysia winner) early losses. So hard to watch. -Yamada’s Warped Wall failure. Heart wrenching to say the least. -Two injuries. Kanno (I still don’t know what happened to him) and Drew Dreschel (one of the other ANW folks who messed up his knee real bad on the HPA, run was not shown by TBS). -David’s fail on his old nemesis—the UCH. He touched the promise land, only to be denied. -No Takeda Also for the record, the “Levi wannabe”, David "Flip" Rodriguez, is a great person. I’ve met him and he is super modest and chill.

Good: "I can't lift this final wall, so I'm going to squeeze under it!" Bad: Okuyama missing on the second bar jump Ugly: LEE, god that was just... I don't even know!

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Ishikawa's Stage 2 run. That must have been the closest clear ever to timing out (6 hundredths of a second remaining, even closer than Okuyama's 3 tenths last time!!)

The Good: Nagano passing for the first stage since 24, and a hell of run all the way to stage 3. Yuuji pawning the course once again for a second time (is it a beginning of a dynasty?). 9 of the 10 Americans passed, so big names passed, Wakky finally going to stage 2, David Rodriguez with the jump off rolling escarigot and flips. Ishikawa's close pass on stage 2, that dude that drank the soda very hilarous. Matachi making the final. The new graphics and replay highlights not bad at all.
The Bad: Yamamoto and Yamada failed stage 1 again, Malaysia qualifier failed early in stage 1, Kinnikun Nakayama failed early. NO Takeda but I think he had a promotion and probably worked the earthquake (remember he is in a real first responder as well). Hope he comes so again.
The Ugly: Li's first stage failure shocking, the 1 american who failed messed up his knee, and I do not blame TBS not showing it, it would be to gruesome for certain people to watch (note:was it joe theismann bad, when it was shattered or gruesome to watch). Speaking of injures Kanno's as well, two injuries to in same tournament how long we had something like that.

When I think of "ugly" I wouldn't put shocking failures under that. I always assumed it meant the broadcast itself and what could have been better. Li failing stage 1 isn't "ugly" to me. It's a part of Sasuke where anyone can fail anywhere. I'd personally put that under Good since it was exciting and unepected. Ugly would be something like I hated the second half of stage 3, or I think the UCH looks ugly That's just me though.

Ugly basically meaning the worst in this case.

Good: Nagano making it to stage 3, Yuuji pwning the course, Wakky making it to stage 2, 9/10 Americans making it to stage 2, UCH finally being beaten
Bad: Nagano being the only All-Star to pass stage 1, David Campbell almost beating the UCH
Ugly: Li's epic fail on the first obstacle

I thought it was awesome when the Japanese crowd started chanting "Young Flip" during his 1st stage run. ;D

Youngs Flips's masks are just awesome. Don't care what anyone says.
I enjoyed seeing the very elite competitors making it throguh to the third stage; but i didn't like the final stage as it was too straightforward.
