Naively, I hope there's someone up there who can add to this thread. If not - delete it if you wish. Today was my first time watching SASUKE on-line. I don't know Japanese, so I thought it would irritate me to be listening to something I don't understand. Wrong! It didn't matter at all. The commercials were surprisingly short, some even cute and tasty. The only irritating thing was that they appeared in the least expected (and wanted!) moments. In my country "keeping fingers crossed" for somebody looks differently and it's actually "holding thumbs" (inside the palms) - the meaning is the same, of course... My palms were sweating all the time, I banged myself on the leg a couple of times (anger at commercials or some falls), I screamed, squeaked and sighed, clutched my head... Well...that's how emotional and nerve-racking this experience was for me THANK YOU - THE ONE YOU (or more than one?)- WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE for us That was unforgettable!!!

It was my first time watching online too and I was worried about the language barrier too. But I got into it just as much as if I was watching with subtitles. Thanks to everyone who was involved in the streaming and I can't wait until Sasuke 28 (keeping fingers crossed/holding thumbs).

I'll chime in as a newbie watcher as well. Wonder why all the responders are female??
It was wonderful, fascinating and fun right up to the time when a power transformer caught on fire in my neighborhood and cut out my power and cable right after the end of Stage 3!!! Gads! I was wringing my hands for hours waiting for the power and cable to be restored so I could see what happened in the Final Stage. What torture!
Having watched the American version I often wondered what it would be like to see the original without the editing for US TV audiences. What were we missing? Boy, a LOT!
This viewing of a real Sasuke event was everything I wanted and anticipated seeing and more. The watered down version we get here on US TV is .... well.... my mother told me "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." It's OK if the US version is all you can see and know no better, but I think things should be experienced in their original form and this certainly counts.
Loved, loved, loved it!
Thank you for all who made viewing possible!

It's always nice to see first-time viewers enjoy the experience, we can only hope TBS still think Sasuke's something to keep around.

I absolutely loved my first time! -inb4thatswhatshesaid- The people in the chatroom were fun to chat with. And watching and commenting on the performances was really fun to do! The reactions of the many people were quite fun to see. Can't wait for 28.

So excited we got new people to watch I've always held true that no matter how much warning you give to someone about how different the broadcast is.. nothing can truly replace going through it at least once and going through the changes in emotions. So happy the experience was good

Ok let me think about this, I think my first tournament was 22, and I haven't missed one since. So this would be number 6 for me, and let me tell you the magic never fades. Every tournament is as enjoyable as your first one.

I had class an hour after the tournament was to air (local time) but was lucky to catch the Navi online (not at the usual location you're thinking of, still trying to get used to a different version of ProBoards). I'm hoping the place I caught it at will upload more soon.
BTW, new member, first exposed to SASUKE/NW in 2007 on G4, but I learned that the Japanese broadcasts were just... better.

This was my first live Sasuke as well. I've seen a lot of the Japanese broadcasts for the older tournaments before though so I knew what the format was going to be like.
The chat was nice, good to watch something with a bunch of other people for the first time... though the JTV stream was about 45 seconds ahead of sheep so it was really hard to keep my mouth shut about things that were happening!

I'll chime in my appreciation to everyone who organized the ability for us to view it online, also. Thank you so much! That was my first non-G4 viewing, and I absolutly loved it. I did have to be at work by 8:00am CST, so I missed a bit; but I have no complaints. That was awesome!

Glad to see all these new first time online viewers having the same excitement and energy that I experienced when I tuned to see my first online tourney (Sasuke 23).

Also my first time watching, it's pretty different to reading spoiler-tastic reviews or watching recordings with other videos in the playlist spoiling the results.
Silliest moment was having to do something during Shingo's run, and leaving after he got past the HPA, assuming that he wouldn't fail...

I want to thank those who make it possible to watch Sasuke live as well. This was my second time, and I'm just glad that I was off from work and made it back from a trip in time to catch a little sleep before getting up to watch this (although, since I got no sleep last weekend at the con I was at, I did doze off at times - the spirit was more than willing, but the flesh was too weak :^( ).
